No game today allowed those in chasing pack to use up a game in hand and it seems to have worked in our favour. Gap opening up between ourselves and bottom 4 with Bristol Rovers now on 32 games and 8 points behind. 15 games left and I'm looking for 6 wins and 4 draws as a minimum. Better run of wins and we could still end up in playoff contention. League 1 safety is first priority, of course. UTG.

I hate it when we have a Saturday without a match! Roll on Wednesday

Clearly he meant Bristol City...
The problem with playing Wednesday (actually, United) is the fact we have a long distance away trip on Saturday...

We don't seem to have a great record in midweek home games either

On form, we will lose against Sheffield United, but beat Oldham...

Didn't have a great record Fridays and in tv previously, but we beat wolves to clear that. Both tough games as fighting for very point send important we don't lose so reckon a draw in both.

If we do lose on Wednesday, I really hope the doom-mongers keep off the board for a few days. It will still leave us with 14 games to get the 12 points needed for a fifty points total - a very comfortable position.

With their cup victory over Forest and their derby contest coming up against Wednesday in the next round, will they be affected? More belief and more inspiration to beat us or the distraction of looking ahead? what will be the Gills reaction? I hope we will be more motivated to beat a team enjoying a great cup run. We will see. UTG

Cup run fantastic...League appalling!!,and tonight's game is..League. Ok there 22nd,with games in hand maybe 17th/18th with games played?, were on a decent run ourselves and were at home!,the mighty Preistfield fortress who beat Wolves a month or so ago!!. ok bookies have us at 11/5, and them at 5/4 favorites, but one thing ive learnt over the years in football betting is dont read to much into the odds, UP THE GILLS

It will be a very tough game tonight and one I hope we are really up for; should be as we have had a nice little break and hopefully they will be a little tired! I would love a win tonight, but I reckon a 1-1 draw will be the result and that will do me.
