With Innis out and potentially Legge also PT has no choice but to recall Davies as whatever he thinks about him its better to have a player from that position playing there, instead of relying on a cover player from midfield. Surely???!!!!!!

Absolutely, don't know why he's so reluctant. I would have thought we needed the cover even before the injuries to Legge and Innis and I think he's good enough to be in this team anyway.
Shame about Innis - he impressed me in his first game, if not so much Sat. I guess if he's injury prone this young it's likely to be a feature of his whole career. Or maybe he's just sharing a run if bad luck with gills!

Don't know why Davies was loaned out in the first place, wanted him back when Legge was injured, if only for cover, now ,well logic says bring him back , but we do not seem to see much logic of late.

Charlie Lee has played at the back before for periods of his career so it would be interesting to see if he starts at the back on Saturday....

Interesting or terrifying Johnknee??
How long do you reckon he'd stay on the field?
I know he's not fit either but I have occasionally thought Kedwell might make a centre half. Too slow but no more so than the rest of them. Can't think of anyone else though -options are certainly limited.

Lee has been a hell of a lot better on the discipline front this season and I can only see him sent off (if he plays at the back) upon "being the last man"...

I might be wrong but I thought I read in the local press that he was away until the end of the month with no call back clause. I hope that I am wrong because we need him badly.

Hmm, Lee has played a lot less this season and often not for 90 mins. And yes, him being last man, as a defender, in lets face it a poor defence, is what worries me. I know he had a season playing in defence for Peterborough but wasn't it mostly as a fullback? We have seen him there for Gills and TBH didn't inspire a lot of confidence. Plus, I think we need him in mid-field.
That said, I don't have a better idea and if Davies can't be recalled, guess PT will have to go with that and we'll see what happens.

Up to Crewe, he only had 5 yellows (one of them converted into a red away to Crawley) in 19 starts and 5 subs appearances. Considering the previous year he never went 2 matches without a card being shown, then Lee's discipline has improved somewhat - even prorata to the time on the pitch.
Still, on a positive front, he should be more mobile than either Barrett or Legge and so might actually provide some balance providing the opposition don't start with two lumps up front.

We can't recall Davies any pro has to be on loan at least 28 days before returning. As much as we need him now Taylor has made a error that could cost us big time.He clearly has not rated Davies this error could cost him his job.

Yes, Johnknee but in 9 of those 19 starts (by my reckoning anyway) he was substituted before the madness set in. Before either things got desperate or before the tiredness that brings rash challenges set in, often IMO to prevent him being sent-off when it looked like it was only a matter of time.

Sending Davies out on loan earlier in the season would have made some sense. But the timing was just madness. With the defence far from solid, Innes prone to injury. If we needed cover we can't get it this month.A straight red or injury to Barrett could even leave us with no 1st team centre backs if legge has a set back.

Does borrowdale(?) play centre back as well as left back? Seem to recall he did, but is he still injured and even if not, having no game time really doesn't give me confidence.

Sadly that will not happen all we can hope is get 3 pts out of our possible fifteen to stay up! Even if we stay up Taylor is not the man to manage us next season hopefully he will go along with Barrett and Martin!

The other option is Josh Hare. I've seen Josh play a couple of times and think he's got promise. Might be asking a lot of a young man to come into a relegation battle.
As for Taylor, I can't see us going down, he's got us playing better football with someone else's team and he deserves the job, unless we do get relegated
