Tragic news on a really nice guy who visited our home with my grand-daughter and although was playing for Charlton at the time took a great deal of interest in the history of Gillingham FC through my library of reference books. Our hearts and prayers go with him for a speedy recovery

Very good news from the hospital in South Africa is that George has been taken off the ventilator and breathing on his own without the need of a Life Support Machine
The football fraternity has also been very generous with donations towards his rehabilitation currently standing at almost £13,000
Keep it up folks and please support all the fundraising events that have been arranged

**** George is coming home! The doctors have said he is now well enough to travel home. They are making the necessary arrangements now and he should be back in the next week or so. Once home he will need to remain in hospital (not confirmed which hospital yet) for a period of time before he will be discharged. This is obviously the news we have all being praying for, can't wait to see him
Brilliant news
