We are all here wondering why Nelson got subbed he looked annoyed when walking off at half time but to not see him come out 2nd half is criminal from Taylor for 1 mistake he didn't look to have a injury. Now it's all gone to pot 2nd half!!!

Has anything been said on Tv? Cody looked in a lot of pain so hope it's not as bad as it looked.

Very strange why Taylor would substitute Nelson, when he is our best keeper. Was he injured ?? This needs some explaining !!
Anyway a poor second half showing and he need strong characters and the way we crumbled reminds me of the many bad days we gills fans experience with suspect defending.
Feeling a bit low after this defeat

Not been following closely in the off season. Where did Morris the keeper come from and does he have Lg 1 experience

Apparently Nelson might have broken his thumb which is maybe something that wouldn't have known until Nelson took his gloves off a few minutes later at half time. Still, absolutely no excuse for Taylor subbing him... Taylor OUT... Hess IN...! dazza23: Seriously, does Taylor really strike you the sort of person who would sub his keeper for making a mistake??

Not been following closely in the off season. Where did Morris the keeper come from and does he have Lg 1 experience He spent the last couple of seasons at Aldershot (so basically upper non-league) but spent most of his career (around 200 matches) prior to that at Southend and Orient.

From the games I have seen him play including today Morris seems to be a very good back up keeper who would rate above many of our past first choice stoppers. Also almost all of our back up keepers. It maybe that Taylor will put young 1st year pro Tom Hadler(I think I have the name right)on the bench. If Nelson's injury is a short one.

Thanks for that. Wouldn't it be nice to get a 2 zip lead early and be able to hold it? I don't Doubt that MKDons had some quality but a rush of goals in 5 minutes indicates some panic set in. A detailed report would be most enlightening. COYG

To me today's match was decided by two very poor refereeing decision s,the first not to send off Martin as he was the last man for the penalty and also not sending off Kay for the terrible challenge that injured Cody!Tim Robinson what a joke!

I am not able to write that much at the moment. But sunny you are right Mk showed class and we were all over the place as soon as we lost Cody.It showed how much he had troubled them up to that moment. The team lacked punch up front and MK used it to turn the tables.Got to hope and pray that Cody's absence is only a short one.

We should not be relying on one or two players to keep the team together but that appears to be the case. Also I agree PT would not substitute Nelson on a whim there must have been a very good reason.

Surely it must be obvious that a keeper cannot continue with a bad thumb injury. I hope that the so-called supporter who used the substitution to have his first go at the manager this season will now apologise.

As you can see from my post I was asking a question as to what was going on as we all never see Nelson in any pain for all of the first half so just seemed strange at the time. I was quite happy with certain aspects of the gills yesterday once we iron out certain creases I think we will become a decent mid-table side which I will be delighted with.
