Matt Fish looked off the pace but its not surprising after his injury last season his confidence must have taken a massive knocking! We looked better up front when German and Norris came on,we lack a experienced creative player in midfield obviously B Dack is exceptional but experience is needed! How long is Loft out for and Linganzi,is he forgotten or gone!

I would of thought that he was injured (Linganzi) as isnt he the type of player that a manager who says he likes to play the ball on the ground, would be one of the first names on the team sheet.
So lets take it that he is Injured, anyone know?

Linganzi has injured his hamstring yet again - That has got to be the 6/7th time since we have had him and why his old club got rid of him. If not for that I think he would be an exceptional player in this division. Loft apparently a week away. Fish, sorry will never recover from his injury. Has lost his pace and unable to turn with any real conviction.

I agree Muppet about Fish he really is not up to the job any longer. You can use every excuse under the sun...not quite match fit....loss of confidence...playing out if position every one is very generous with coming up with reasons why he had a bad game but we might as well have been playing 10 men Tuesday night. If we are going to finish mid table this season we need to use players that can help the team achieve this. When a player has been off injured for a season rarely does he find his form again. We have all seen this time and time again.

The most important thing about last night was build a bit of confidence.I believe we did that after the 4-1 defeat at Barnsley another similar loss or worse would have done the lads a lot of harm.I know some would say it is defeatist in many ways it may have been more likely to have won had we opened up.But frankly it was far more likely that with both full backs looking fragile we would have taken a heavy defeat. We needed to build for future games,I and others have said this team will take time to come of age. It could be Fish will need a break and may or may not ever get back to what he was.To my knowledge nobody really knows on here his medical condition now is the problem related to the new set up.Or just form only time will tell.Taylor seems to have given everyone a fair chance to prove themselves or otherwise. That vote of faith could have hurt us in this early part of the season but we at least find out where we are before clearing the budget totally. With the cup game money we may have a bit left over lets hope Taylor can bring in the right man or men to help boost our squad.Having Lofty back will be most welcome too. With Dack,Morris and Hess impressing in centre midfield lets hope we can make use of Loft on the left hand side to improve the team there.

It must be hard for players to adapt to playing out of position, they are also used to the skyball tactics employed by previous managers,I think Taylor will get it right just hope it's sooner rather than later.

Yeah it was a tough game against top opposition etc. However, that still doesn't excuse our inability to keep the ball or desire to thump long balls to Kedwell. It also doesn't excuse the 5-3-2 formation, which isn't making us tighter defensively, but isn't getting us up the pitch enough. Cup or league game, this needs addressing.
Yes it's an inexperienced side, yes they'll take time to come good, but there is work to be done

I think we all agree and have said before this team is work in progress. It would be nice to play the same team, but for injuries. I think one thing is for sure and finally confirmed Tuesday, Cody and keds will never be a partnership. Norris and Cody would be my next choice to try.

Norris and German looked good on Tuesday - Cody and Keds had no impact whatsoever

Cody just back from injury and as for German he is worth the sub spot but his control lets him down when running with the ball.
