Gills legend leaves Col U by mutual consent after keeping them in League One with one of the lowest playing budgets in our division so hoping their loss might be a another club's gain.
Best of luck for the future Joe

Blimey the chairman are getting brutal even in the lower divisions these days. As you say big-al tiny budget not a massive support so what can be expected. All the best in your next role joe.

Would not be at all surprised to see Joe team up with mentor and close friend Tony Pulis in the future as part of his backroom staff when TP returns to the hotseat

Listened to Joe quiet often on the bbc football website. He talked a good game. unfortunately,it's a results business and he has not been quiet good enough to make Colchester even a average team.

Sad to see but it was gonna happen with a start like theirs considering there squad they have. Everyone saying about thier budget if you look at thier squad they have some much bigger names than we have and will be paying a lot on wages something that we could never afford.
