Some of the best comments I've read in awhile, hessisgod, not had much to say for the same reason, some posters seem incapable of finding a positive comment and refuse to accept that other people have other views. In the mean time like you still feel that the "youth" of the Gills squad will come good and in time to ensure our mid table position in L1 come May.

Sorry another non creative performance yesterday,no faith in Pt and we are entitled to our opinions! I will say looking at Paul Scallys poor record of appointing managers will we be jumping out of the frying pan into the fire if we sack PT. Sadly under P T Gills are not going anywhere but down!
On another front no way do I want to see Gills in the Premier league where only rich oligarts decide how the title is won! All I want is a team near the top of Div 1 or mid table in the Championship but under PT no chance!

And how realistic do you think it is for us to be top of league one or mid table championship? Where in our history or average gates suggests that is realistic for a club of our size? How do you expect us to compete financially with sheff Utd, Coventry, Preston, Bristol City, franchise cc, Bradford in our league? As for the championship, Bolton and Fulham current occupy the bottom 3. Enough said! Sorry, but it's that total lack of realism that is causing the issue of negativity. Set stupid expectations and fans will be disappointed

Midtable championship could be pushing it a bit but I remember a time when I was following the Gills more fervently than now mid 70's to mid 80's when the likes of Reading were struggling and Wigan were non league that Gills were constantly in top 8 of div 3 or div 1 as its known now,so I feel that I am being realistic! No I am not happy at struggling in Div 1!!!

None of us like being towards the bottom of the table, but other than the odd season when we achieve promotion or a play off spot we struggle. We May do so again this season, but at least we are trying something different and investing in youth to see if that may change our fortunes longer term. Ok the last few games have been pretty dire, but the first few games were very good and exciting and were enjoyable to watch. With a very close league a win Or two will change our outlook and I for one am prepared to back the current regime for a while longer. If it doesn't work then I am sure the manager and chairman will change things, but let's give it a go.
