Despite the home point today we have slipped into the bottom 4. Only a month ago we were quite pleased with 11 points from 8 games and forecasting a mid-table finish. Now we look like we are in trouble. Positives - we are not getting hammered and have had poor luck in a couple of games. Negatives - injuries, suspensions (Loft) and inability to create sufficient chances that might provide goals to win or draw. Our away form is abysmal and now our home form is disappointing to say the least. Loan signing of Doughty may help but we may need a lot more than that. Not questioning Taylor about fitness or motivation but maybe about level of talent or unit cohesion. Something is not right and it might need a managerial shake-up to turn things around. We don't want League 2 football again, do we? COYG

Me too gillsjan, possibly got a little over confident towards the end/ before subbed, but think he will be a very good signing. Please tell me I'm wrong but that ref was bloody dreadful today, and not helped out by his linesman. Some poor decisions I thought.

Ref was not the best but at least he did not make any catastrophic mistakes to really mins about. I was disappointed by the result. Cause of goal against was again allowing the oppo too much time I the ball as the midfield does not close down quick enough. The qpr loanee was fine a better ball player than we have but he tired and not IMO match fit which did not help with the closing down issue. Shame our central defenders did not have their shooting boots on as they perhaps had the best two chances to score (ignoring cody's clear chance at the death ) but that says something worse about out forwards !!!!

The ref of course was a new kid on the block and did not pick up on a large number of fouls. Not impressed with him at all. I thought Crawley out played us during the first half but we came into our own in the second half. I still think we have a problem with midfield. They play too deep and there are too many gaps in the centre. Also when we are on the defence we tend to run away from the ball instead of tackling. Dack was unlucky not to score during the second half when it went over the bar. Like you Muppet I would rather watch this style of football than the boring stuff we have sat through in the past. Some of these youngsters are going places.I still believe we are missing 3 points by a cats whisker I believe it will come and I still have faith.

We seem to have a real mixed bag of refs these days. The ref I like I think was called Mr Singh. Have not seen him for a long while he may have retired. He was fair and his decisions were good.

At times I thought we played some good football, and deserved a point. Agree that the referee was atrocious, and his credentials should be looked at. However there is something wrong with this team, possibly one or two more experienced players are needed.I don't think waiting until next season is very fair to the Season Ticket Holders, and any other fan that goes to the game. Attendance is not as good as it should be,and continuing along this path will dwindle further. Time for Paul Scally to step up to the plate.

The ref was poor, but we've had worse. I remember Mr Singh who was always outstanding, but pretty sure he has retired. Thought we were better today and our loanee was decent. Cody needs to find his shooting boots. That is the real reason we are struggling

Sounds like I did well to not go today,to spend £35 for the same old Taylor team just didn't appeal to me! The Yokels of Maidstone are through to round 1 what a great cup draw that would be ,but should Taylor still be in charge in a fortnight ,as the last post said its up to Paul Scally to step up to the plate!

Our forwards were a problem today, our best chances falling to defenders who to be fair were pushing were Cody/Keds should have been. Desperate for our front men to find a scoring touch as you say Hess, that will relieve some of the pressure if we tuck a few chances away.

Jamal Singh was indeed an outstanding referee, the best we have seen at Priestfield in many along year. Sure your right hessisgod he is now retired.

Thank you for that I did wonder if he had retired.

Perhaps they should bring him back to train these younger refs as they need it.
