A really well done to Patto and his under 21 lads who won one nil in the second round of the under 21 cup.Up against Cardiff last night few would have expected anything less than a heavy defeat but against the odds the development side won the tie keeping another clean sheet as they did in the 1st round at home to Plymouth. Can't wait to read a report.Well done to everyone involved the defence and Keeper must have done really well so all credit to the boys who will be largely unknown at first team level.

Great news and reckon that was one fantastic atmosphere on the team bus on the way home. Well done to all the players, patto and back room staff.

Our youth development has been exceptional in recent years. We've developed some talented players. It's just a shame in the modern game that we don't have patience with them in the first team and allow them to develop. A team with 6-7 home grown players would be something special

Yes it would. However, we've got a team of youngsters at the moment and people are moaning about it not being experienced enough. I think one or two players every couple of years is all we can expect.

The club though is missing a trick in not putting a report on their site bigging them up. Should have been the first thing they did on arriving at the ground this morning.

Yes and great to read, looks as though we took our chance and defended well. Let us hope that some of these players bloom for us and make it through to the first team. Think that they are in good hands with PT and Patterson in charge.

About 5 minutes of HIGHLIGHTS of the game are now on the Cardiff city site.Just hope Morris isn't injured he had a outstanding game.Glenn and Dickenson played in a otherwise very inexperienced side. A few good moves by our boys but put under a lot of pressure by Cardiff.Edit Seems the Dickenson that played was one Michell Dickenson a centre back out of the youth side. www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news/article/dvp-vs-gillingham-report-2048964.aspx?

Looks like a gills fan put them right on our team! Looks like patto, set out with a plan and it was executed perfectly. Not sure what standard of team are in the next round, but hope they get a home tie against a premiership outfit and I would hope a good home crowd to cheer them on. Sounds like Morris had a great game, shame about the injury and hope not serious.
