Terry Cochrane and Dave Shearer belied the assertion that you have to lay off the bevy in order to become a decent player. Pure class, both of them. Not sure about that TBH. Both of them (and Mehmet) would have been far too good for Gills if they'd taken better care of themselves.

A really good evening, thanks Al. Heartening to see both Terry and Dave Mehmet looking fit and well and on such good form. Those were special times and we had some special players. I still keep dreaming of another spell like that and hope to live long enough to see it.

GillsConnect is putting together a 2 part article on the night including the Q&A with some video of Cocky telling the hilarious story about Sheiky crashing his car in Derby and the police asking him if he had permission to drive it. Pure Comedy

I was at that game in Derby, or certainly one in that era. The police, with dogs were out in force and wouldn't let us leave the ground the way we'd come. Took us hours to find the car. Those were the days....

Those were the days.... Had forgotten about those days of dogs, horses and constant aggro... So glad much more refined these days.
