I moved to the US in 1979 and to Atlanta, GA in 1981. Bill was assistant manager to Georgia Generals, Atlanta's only pro soccer team (not sure if NASL or not). Dave Chadwick was the manager and he lived in the same neighborhood as I did. There were a few British players in Atlanta at that time - Mike Elson (Exeter), Graham Tutt (Charlton and ), Phil Woosnam, Paul Child (Villa). Met Child and Elson who owned an indoor football facility that did very well. The team did not last long and only now do they have an MLS team coming to Atlanta in 2016.

Read somewhere on the net that Bill Williams took Billy Hughes out to South Africa but don't think it enhanced his career. Wonder if he mentioned him in his autobiography?
