The bookies front runners either are not interested or not available, Pennock, Wise, Jones and Justin Edinburgh seems unlikely to leave Newport to come here. In public the only person who said he would like the job is Steve Lovell, and that would suit PS . From the comments on here i don't think the fans would be happy with another inner circle appointment. Ex-Millwall player and now ex Charlton manager Bob Peeters could come into the reckoning, but wouldnt get the fans very excited. If the Gills have a tight budget i fail to see why they would pay compensation to another club for a manager, when they need money for players

I think for once, the bookies don't have a clue. Maybe that's because Scally doesn't yet either? There has been little in the way of rumour that interviews have even started yet. I wouldn't be surprised if an appointment isn't made until the transfer window is closed.

It would prove once and for all that he has not really got the club in his heart. Action of some sort needs to be taken immediately. If he cannot get the man he wants for some reason until the summer why not bring in someone who can rescue this season from another relegation. Just throwing a name out there, Neil Warnock, no take that back, him and Scally would fall out in a month. This all comes down to who out there can or wants to work with our chairman

If he sees Gills as a cash cow, why hasn't closed the club and sold the ground for development? With planning permission it would be worth a fair bit, and then he would have no more worries running a hard up football club.

He must be up to something. In the past he has always said A- there is no hurry, I have to make sure I get the right man B- there are already 40 applications sitting on my desk C-I am surprised by the calibre of some of the applicants.

Well lets see, he is earning 230k tax free each and every year for doing the bare minimal, staff at the club run it. He can't just close the club, are you serious. Funny thing is he moved to dubai what 7-8 years ago to seek investment, then only a few weeks ago admitted he has been a bit lazy in seeking investment in the last few years, hold up, whats why you re-located, well, supposedly.

Maybe for some reason the time is not right, but that is a very likely outcome some time in the future. That is why the super stadium at Mill Hill comes up every now and again but due to PS managing to upset councillors in the past it hasn't happened

Bookmakers may or may not have it right how many times in the past have managers said they were happy at there club or the club say no contact only to sign for another club days later. It is easier if you are after someone who is out of work and normally that will be the bookmakers favourites because we all know most of them would have appied. But I am sure our man is working for another club therefor while that is the case we are unlikely to here anything until the deal is finalized.

As a number above have said, it will be a disaster if we miss signings in the transfer window due to no manager being in place or at least a positive steer from the chairman for the fab 4 to at least get some cover in by way of loan. If we get no replacements I am sorry, but we are doomed as we need players of the calibre of Doherty, chickson and Bywater all of which didn't feature for their respective clubs last rne out.
