Yes I am not sure what date Marquis goes back maybe the powers to be can negotiate an extension 14th Feb i think i saw when we signed him, i think they might need him back. Still its good of us to get a Millwall player match sharp!!!

Mel Sage! We've only got Marquis for a Month gilljan, which is a worry because in my mind it's his arrival far more than the change in management that has made the difference Could not agree more technical, his contribution is tremendous, two starts,3 goals, he has really hit the ground running. Would love to see him extend his stay,on this showing he could well be the most effective striker we have seen in a while.

I think today actually showed we need a manager. It's lovely to watch us playing keeganesque football, but we are horridly naive. I thought our centre backs were both excellent but we very exposed by 2 poor full backs and the team not defending as a whole. As fun as it is, we need to get organised Two poor fullbacks are you having a laugh I thought Hoyte was second to Marquis as man of the match! Ehmer looked slow and dodgy although better than Legge at his worst!!! The young left back was out of his depth today;Hoyte had a poor first half but drastically improved 2nd half;i prefer legge to Ehmer at least he offers something of a threat at corners and set pieces

Sorry jan and tjb but every time Hoyte got the ball in an attacking position, he checked and went backwards. Positionally, he was too narrow which caused Pritchard first half and Hess second half problems as they were often left two on one while Hoyte was tucked in marking nobody. To be honest, I can't remember the last time we had decent fullbacks. John Nutter was decent but maybe have to go back to Patto for our last decent right back Barry Fuller was ok and so was Matt Fish before his injury.

Funny a lot of us are all sharing the same concerns. Left back, all around us felt he struggled today and it wasn't hoytes best game by a long way, but he is the best we have presently. Agree with above comment I thought fuller always put in a good shift for us. With millwall being in a poor position and not scoring, there will be a good chance they may recall marquis, which will be a shame as agree with, I think it was stato comments above he is doing and adding everything we need. Also disgusted by their tactics and the ref allowing them to get away with it

From the Gordon Road Stand I still thought Hoyte did a reasonable job...

Will be interesting to see what happens with Marquis. He's not been near the team at Milwall and their fans really don't rate him. Not impossible he will stay on

I'm another one who thinks that Hoyte had a good steady game. Garmston started OK but seemed to be unnerved when Nelson mishandled his back pass which was, admittedly, a bit misdirected and not along the ground. I hope we can keep Marquis. His goals to games ratio with us is well above his efforts at other clubs so I also hope that he won't tail off. The midfield still needs a lot of improvement. They seem slow of thought and incapable of putting together the slick passing we have seen from other teams. However, I am happy with the positive attitude under the Gang of Four. If it continues I think we will avoid the drop.

Fair point about him not being match sharp. I hope he improves as he's our only real option there. Also dropping Martin may give him a healthy kick up the backside

It was also good to see us getting more balls in the air, something we have not been very good at of late..
