What caught MA out,was Scally not letting him strengthen during the summer. I remember he wanted Marlon Pack but said we hadn't got the money, yet as soon as Taylor came in, he was given the chance to sign several loans and last summer making permanent signings Scally had been told by Allen that the players he'd signed in league two were strong enough to challenge in league one. Hardly surprising he wasn't impressed when Allen told him he needed a load of new players when significant investment had already been made in players who were supposed to be good enough already

It is fairly clear that none of the out of work managers in this country have jumped off the page. Neil Arley (who clearly did not apply.) apart Scally has clearly decided not to approach any other clubs about their managers until after he has spoke to all other applicants.Three are clear aboard it could simply be a holiday if the person has been managing and has lost a job in the last few months. Some ex manager also have coaching schools aboard.
It still seems most likely Edinburgh has applied and is waiting for Scally to come back to him.Scally would have some idea of his wages etc from a agent.I would guess that the most likely appointment going on the Ardley approach is someone with a similar cv.This seems to most closely fits JE.I have been told by someone who knows him from his spurs days to be someone who takes no nonsense. At Newport he plays 2 forwards with a extra man behind the front men even away from home. So it seems likely to closely follow what we seem to be doing at the moment. That would seem to make sense no point in bring in someone who wants everything to change again.Seems likely we may well being seeing the new man in time for the Sheffield United game.Anyone going to Bristol City keep a eye open for JE if he turns up it will have people talking.

Agree Hess rosler would he a very good appointment. Midfield cover is a definite and a good players would make a big difference and help our defence who constantly have to face up to opposing players running full pelt at them, which at any level is a mismatch.
