Poor performance all round, I felt and not at all what we very quickly became accustomed to in recent weeks, but we'd have had a much better chance of getting something from it if we hadn't conceded whilst in disarray and down to 10 men because of a missing shirt. Once they scored, they closed the game down even more than they had been doing beforehand.
As a point of interest when did players start changing on the touchline, rather than being ready when they come out of the dressing room and why?

Sadly I agree. I thought we started well and after they scored I was convinced that we would come back with vengeance ....this was not the case. Dack and Egan played well again today apart from Dacks corners, they are very consistent but can't say the same for all the team. Hess..not a good game today but we could have done with him taking the corners..by then he had gone off.

it was a disappointing game on a sticky and bumpy pitch, don't think we really got to grips with the conditions very well and far to many players not on there game and young Hess and loft particularly poor , but this has been the case for them most of the season, will he change it versus swindon on Tuesday ??

100% agree technical, subs should be ready to get on that pitch at a moments notice. As to the performance we just did not know how to play against a team who played with a high line and when JE changed it, it made it worse. With a high line like that we needed to use width and get quick ball to the wide payers with balls also into channels - we done none of that and played into their hands.

Come back 4 amigos all is forgiven..he he [. Loft has been so slow in giving the wide ball it's as though he is totally adverse to passing to his left at all ! By the te the ball comes out wide all the cover has moved across - I thought defensively we looked ok but midfield woefully slow the forwards got no early ball mcglashan and Garmston ran their backsides off for little good ball - I thought Dack was nowhere near his best

The episode with the shirt was not only embarrassing but totally unprofessional. Not only the fact that Martin wasn't ready quickly enough but the way the team panicked immediately and let Barnsley dominate the match for the few minutes whilst it was going on. What was wrong with the team and especially the captain. Why wasn't he taking control and slowing the game down. The team looked as completely spooked as the supporters. They didn't look like scoring until that mad few minutes. In fact the idea of putting on Norris and playing with all those forwards has been tried before and always seems to fail and upset the balance of the team. Sorry, but the match was very disappointing and has brought us back down to earth with a bang. It shows how easily form goes out the window. Not good enough. A few more bums on seats and they all go home disappointed. Shame. Sorry to moan, but I was sitting next to a new supporter and spent most of the time telling him it's not normally this bad. I don't think he'll spend £24 quid next Saturday. And too be honest I don't blame him.

Good summary greyfox, midfield needs a big ball winner and somebody who can run at the defence-like Emmanuel-thomas(?) Bristol City.

The fact that Joe Martin was not ready to come on immediately is inexcusable, but the main fault for the goal must be Nelson's. He fumbled a shot come cross, as an experienced keeper he should have been able to smother the ball even if it had just bobbled on the turf. Also he should have been aware that Waring was close by and at least attempted to divert the ball away from him. Nelson is a good shot stopper and does not make many mistakes , but this is one time when he did. Even with eleven men on the pitch these situations arise, the cause was Martin's ineptness, but Nelson was at fault for the goal.
