I didn't think he was terrible yesterday, far from the worst on the field but he didn't have much impact (although should have scored towards the end).
With the opposition's continued use of the off-side rule, a fast wide player should have been just what we needed, but it didn't work out that way, perhaps because it was too obvious? Jermaine's about to make a run so everyone else stands still? MOVE lads! Similarly, why do they so rarely look to Garmston on the other side? He had loads of space at time while play was crowded on the other side in the small area allowed by their high line.
Anyway, I didn't object to the selection, if Edinburgh had done his research, then it was the right thing to do, but it didn't work. He seems to have far more impact when he comes on for the last 20/30 mins.

If the highlights and shots stats are anything to go by he was the only one to get anything on target yesterday. I always assumed that a benefit of having one of your players double-marked was that it opened up spaces elsewhere but if we're not switching play quick enough then I suppose this is irrelevant. Having lost this game, it'll be interesting to see the team selection next time.

Bearing in mind the pitch was heavy and we struggled to play any football. It's hard to say if macglashan is a super sub. I think he will start the next game versus swindon and rather he played from the start and replace him later if he is tired. Edinburgh said we need to start games better and faster so for that reason he should start games.

How many matches have we seen Garmston bombing forward with acres of space and Loft does not (or Will not) pass the ball out to him. Ive watched loft actually face him and its the easiest pass in the world to make to Garmston then Loft turns 180 degrees and passes into trouble on the opposite side and often loses the ball. It must be frustrating for Garmston. I think hein lies the problem the ball sometimes is slow coming from midfield just too many touches. NO wonder he's pulled his hamstring the amount of runs he's been making up and down the left side of that pitch each match and doesn't get the ball ? Loft could be a very good player if he moved the ball quicker in my opinion.

He used to be a good player when he was at Port Vale. That's why we bought him. Maybe he doesn't like the water down here.

That's how it seems to me evo. Garmston is the easy and obvious ball and he manages to create loads of space on a regular basis, but they seem never to use him.
I hope the injury's not too bad.
I feel for Loft, he undoubtedly has been a very good player, then he was injured, possibly came back before he was fully fit and for a long time was played out of position. I don't think he's had as much opportunity to shine as his game time would suggest.

He hadn't got the right mix of players in midfield to Aid his game. He needs a big ball winner who will give him the ball to spray passes around and we ain't got one. He spends to long chasing the ball and tackling, which isn't it greatest attribute. Hess isn't up to it ATM and is to slow to cover so we need to enhance midfield ASAP

I do think we need to bring in extra quality to that midfield, difficult is one is captain and other is assistant managers son. How does Edinburgh deal with that ??

Think McFlash has so far appeared to be an impact player and have seen nothing on Saturdays showing to change that opinion, however, afraid the side as a whole looked tired and jaded so perhaps should not judge on that single start

I hope they get plenty of sleep before Tuesday's match.

Agree dc, but as you say they were virtually all bad on Saturday so possibly shouldn't judge on that game alone.
