It certainly will for this fan. If this is agreed then I will not watch any further games in this competition.

Must admit my first reaction was very similar. Then began to wonder if this could also have further reaching affects, apart from lack of interest and/or support from the fan base therefore possibly the follow on in the long term being lack of support from lower level clubs. In addition to this would the Premiership clubs be more loathe to loan out some players due to the fact that they would be able to gain more competitive experience within their own clubs.

Disgraceful behaviour from the Premiership and even worse from the Football League if the member clubs accept the bribe

All comes back to the premiership wanting to give home grown talent a chance and at the end of the day I suspect the figure mentioned will increase and they will get sign off on that basis. The next step will be back to the post a while ago with the premiership wanting reserve sides competing in Div1/2 and no doubt that will get railroaded through in due course. Agree DC that will stop the loan market and potentially put some clubs in financial stress. I say not a good thing and should be declined unless the fat cats in the premiership role out some substantial cash on an annual basis to make it worthwhile to the lower league teams.

This is a terrible idea it will only succeed in alienating the true fans from the money orientated Oligarchs of the Premier league! Too me the Premier league has been nothing but detrimental to British talent in this country relying on Foreign mercenaries who devalue the basic rudiments of the English game! So its a massive 'No' from me!

I am totally against this idea and will join the boycott of games in this competition if it comes about. Most true fans are really proud of their local clubs and the exploits of several lower division teams this season in the FA and League Cups proves that we are watching teams capable of beating Premier League sides on occasions. If the FA and the Premier League clubs want to see their Under 21's in competitive football let them reform the Football Combination where all teams would be allowed to field teams conatining players of all ages. This way the young players would learn how to compete with senior pro's currently out of their respective first teams or returning from injury. I realise that this might cause financial difficulties for League 1 and 2 clubs so let the rich boys give their 50k to support them.
