I know Stato, but I wonder if Scally was making the same point re clubs being expected to fund pointless travel. Or make he just CBA.

Since the the Football League Cup was sponsored by the Capital One Credit Card from 2012 (formerly Carling Cup, Worthington Cup .....etc) the Football League Owners and Executives summer meeting has always been held in Vilamoura Portugal with Capital One who are sponsoring the League Cup until 2016 picking up the tab.
Hope this helps

There are many reasons why people can't always attend meetings it does not always mean someone can't be bothered.

If Scally reckons there should be a draw for the South West, it would presumably include only Plymouth, Exeter, Bristol Rovers, Yeovil and possibly Swindon. Perhaps you could add Newport County at a push. Wouldn't those six clubs get sick of the sight of each other after a few years ?

I meant to push quote not thumps up sorry.I can see where you are coming from however. If it was to work it would need to include more teams like Bristol City(who you may have forgotten),Portsmouth plus maybe even the likes of Shrewsbury after next season you maybe able to add Bounemouth. If it was just the first round then I don't see it being such a major issue.Dividing the country in four would at least stop the major trip.It is worse this year with so many far flung sides in the league games.Hotel bills could well be a issue too on trips like that evening games and 500 mile trips really don't mix that well.
