Attendance still disappointing. Or am i expecting too much with people still away?
Out of interest, are st holders counted if they don't attend?

I thought there looked like more than the stated number there today. I understood that ST holders were counted even if they were not there and this was normal practice. If I had guessed the number today I would have said around 6500.

I reckon the crowd number was spot on. There were 1832 visiting Sheffield United supporters for our first game and about 280 today I think. Given that the crowd for our first game was 7511, if you simply take the difference in away attendance with exactly the same home support would produce a crowd of about 5900. Areas at the home end were less well populated yesterday, particularly the lower and upper Medway. You can also get a pretty good idea of the likely crowd size from the online ticket sales site. Red areas mean almost sold out, yellow means not many seats left and black means a lot of seats left. For yesterday's match there were a couple of red areas, a couple of yellow but mostly black. That sort of profile usually produces a crowd in the mid 5000s. Exactly what we got. I'm sad, I always have a look to see what sort of crowd we are likely to get.
