Quarter final I believe as we had a bye first round. As to Wembley, gonna need to play better than that.

Winning when playing poorly is a good habbit to have. Not sure I'd I would have gone if I was home in UK. Although I did manage to attend most of last year's cup run. JPT is a strange competition never sure if the manager and players are any more I to it than us. A day out at Wembley would be good experience for our young side with play offs in mind. So on balance I think it would be a good thing to try to go all the way this year.

I think it's worth trying to put on a performance Stato, if only because the cheap tickets brought in lots of new faces and it would be nice if a few of them came back!

Totally agree technical the gate was better than I expected and the fans were making a lot of noise encouraging the lads. Just a very poor match for some of the new fans to watch. How many times did Nelson kick the ball out when the whole pitch was available to him. I almost felt as though their heart was not in the match last night. If we want to progress further in the cup then we certainly need to be putting a better performance in.

Was at the game last night. The result was the only redeeming feature. Can some one tell me what the attendance was, as it was not in the national press this morning,as I keep simple records of all Gills games.

But isn't that just a regular thing that Nelson does game in, game out?!!,kick the the bloody ball 30 yards out from his goal line?!!.... And why was Josh Wright dropped last night?, Ok, JE was resting Donnelly after his 4 goals in 2, but cant see logically why josh dropped?......Have to agree though, playing poorly or sub standard and still winning feels pretty good!!...

Not sure dropped is the right term. Rested. JED may have felt that Josh would benefit from a break and maybe someone like Paddy or mcglashan would benefit from the game. JPT is a bit of a balancing act. Winning last night hopefully was full of pluses if we got through with no injuries or extra bookings.

A pro for 15 years plus and still can't hit a target from a kick out. Also very reluctant to come off his line, that said he is a very good shot stopper. Though I think it is time to give Glen Morris a chance he did nothing wrong last season.

I agree yesterday may have been a good day to give Glen Morris a game after all he seemed to be flavour of the month not so long ago.

Me too, Morris deserves a chance to play as finished last season in good form.

JE had already quoted saying giving Donnelly a rest, but didnt say same about Wright?,and he was on the bench?....Anyway means he will have the energy of a spring chicken come saturday!!
