I am disappointed also at the attendances at the Gills home games. I am a Season Ticket holder but am in Tenerife at the moment but will be at the next home game.as usual.

Attendance's are not great, but the assertion that they were good in the 70s and 80s is a bit wide of the mark. When keith peacock was manager we regularly only got about 5000. If cheap tickets for teenagers was brought in that would be a good idea. In general, I think football is overpriced, as the players are all on far too much money. I stopped going regularly about ten years ago.couldn't justify the expense for what was at the time a mediocre product. Once you get used to not going, you don't miss it. But I'm back into it now

the main reason why our attendances are so poor is because priestfields stadium is situated in a heavily built up housing area with very poor parking facilities nearby and excess routes to and from is not the best either. the stadium itself is horrible too and a new home is surely the way forward and go long way to attracting more fans.
lets be honest a new home is a must for our club to move forward and hopefully leading to outside investment into the gills and building a stadia on the outskirts of town with a shopping complex nearby would seem the sensible way . just as long as we don't have to visit the worst shopping high street in the uk called gillingham . lol.
