So Wilkinson has apparently turned down offers from other league club's and has signed for Dagenham permanently.
I don't think we will miss him, he was given plenty of chances by Pennock and Lovell but never really made his mark, I know he scored the odd goal here and there but nowhere near enough for league 1.
He seemed to do alright at Dagenham, maybe the level of football suited him better, and maybe Peter Taylor's coaching and style of play as well.

Hopefully that’s the cash for another striker.
I also read earlier that despite scoring goals everywhere he’s been (lovell’s words) Nash is unlikely to get game time. Assume he’ll be moved on as well, which would appear to be in the interests of all parties

Wilkinson probably has found his level and if Taylor can handle him then good luck to them both, he is his own worst enemy in my opinion but then maybe he's not that good either. Nash is mystery to me, it doesn't seem as though he's been given a chance, Lovell says he's 'nippy' and all that jazz but like Nasseri doesn't get a look-in. Either Nash holds himself back or there is something else that we can't see. Or maybe we just don't play to his strengths. Then again Lovell can be questioned, he took on Nasseri and we may well ask why?

Nasseri is a mystery, I think I've only seen him play once or twice, he came on as a sub on his debut last season and scored. Lovell offered him a new contract, so he must have seen something in him, he might not be worthy of a starting place, but surely he is worth a substitute appearance. Nash is a bit different, he came to us off the back of a 35 goal season, but that was at Isthmian league level, so it is understandable that it has taken time for him to adjust, he's been out on loan lots, maybe he just isn't able to make the step up to league 1, or its possible, as you've said, we just don't play his style ofbfootball.

Nash is lightweight and won’t make it at this level. Scoring for his old club was below his level, but conference south is his level. Best for him to go and good luck to him.

Not sure if anyone has taken the time to read the Dagenham & Redbridge forums but they are absolutely delighted to have signed Wilkinson. They really rate him. Maybe he's found his level or perhaps they have got a manager that can get the best out of him.

It does look that way.
In nearly 50 appearances in a Gills shirt he scored 3 goals.
In 10 appearances for the daggers he scored 6.
Either way, good luck to him

Either National League South is the right level for him, or Peter Taylors coaching and style of play suits him better.
