No, but the reception he gets at home games tells me he isn't as unpopular as you like to think.
Of course, if you actually went to game you might know that.

Interesting since Zakuani was injured we have managed two clean sheets in three games. My argument that he was too slow for our defence might have some credence.
As for managerial changes my argument again was that Steve Lovell could not organise a defence , hopefully things might have changed.
As for next season let's see how this one pans out first.
I still get the impression Paul Scally is still interested in Steve Evans..

Evans was at the game today by all accounts.
I wonder whether Lovell is staying on until the summer, then Evans will come in to build his own squad etc during the off season.
It might explain why he has been seen at some games, he cod be seeing what he has to work with, and where he will be looking to strengthen up the squad.
Or, he's taking over Wycombe

Yes from me, whoever comes in will have no money, can't see the point in changing manager again.

Yes from me, whoever comes in will have no money, can't see the point in changing manager again. The bit about no money is something none of us know. Scally has a habit of pulling a rabbit out of a hat. He may also have some cash from any sale of Dack. I don't think Scally will trust Lovell to get the right players in, so I think a change of manager in the summer is nailed on

Scally is in a really tough position. This forum probably doesn’t reflect the feelings of fans who seem broadly supportive of Lovell, probably because of club favourite status. Therefore the reaction to replacing him with Evans would be poor. However, it’s the right thing to do so it probably depends if Scally has the balls to make an unpopular decision and do what’s right for the club

hessisgod. Scally is not in a tough position.
The forum does reflect the general feeling that Lovell has no long term future at the helm.
Have you noticed we have lost 10 games at home this season and all of those defeats gives me 10 reasons why he should be gone after the season finishes. Have you heard Lovell mention anything about the future and what aspiration he has as a manager ?? NO.
Evans might not be your cuppa tea, but he is a leader and has a winning mentality and knows how to set up teams and make them expansive, something Lovell does not possess, our current manager will never manage above league one and his overall ability is about 4 or 5 out of ten and personality wise the same.
I think my assessment is a very accurate view.
SCALLY IN A REALLY TOUGH POSITION !!!

Scally cannot afford Evans. Let’s look at alternatives cause Lovell needs to go. Been great club man but time up.

Taffy, read my post again. I’ve said Lovell should go in the interests of the club, but I’m not convinced scally will take that decision

He always seems to get a good reception at any game I've been to, and I don't think I've heard anyone shouting abuse at him at any games either, which you did have with JED and Pennock. Of course if you actually went to a match you might know that. Of course, that doesn't mean we should keep Lovell, we shouldn't, he needs to go, but you don't represent the views of other Gillingham supporters
