I remember training in the centre of Happy Valley racecourse with a player called Darren Tilley back in 1994. I was on trials with a club called Happy Valley then. I decided not to join them eventually and come back to the UK.
Does anybody remember a striker called Dale Tempest ? Hong Kong all time leading scorer and ex-Gills striker who I think we got from Huddersfield Town.
BIG AL....WILL KNOW !!!

Dale Tempest was a bustling centre-forward who former Gills manager Keith Peacock brought to Priestfield on a short term loan deal from Huddersfield Town in March 1986. It seeems Peacock brought him in to cover for injuries to Tony Cascarino and Dave Shearer as Gills were looking a good bet for promotion Dale scored a brace on his home debut against Reading (Div3 champions) plus a couple more by the end of the 1985/86 campaign. Gils sadly finished 5th in Div3 just 5 points behind 3rd placed Derby County. In total Tempest made 9 League apps and 1 app in the Freight Rover Trophy for Gills at the end of the 1985/86 season He left Priestfield in May 1986 before joining Lokeren in Belgium then onto Colchester United in August 1987 and then Moved to Happy Valley in Hong Kong in June 1989

Even if he isn’t there next season he would be doing that.
