This is entirely hypothetical, but the government are urging venues to use vaccine passports etc, although they haven’t made it a legal requirement.
In the very unlikely event that you needed a vaccine passport to go to football matches would you be for or against it?
I am divided, I have been fully vaccinated, and the NHS app on my phones allows me to show my vaccination status and I think it has a QR code that can be scanned.
I would have no problem showing this to someone on the way into the stadium, but I think that making it mandatory would be taking things too far.

Absolutely against. You can pass on covid whether or not you’ve been vaccinated so they’re unnecessary

Absolutely against. You can pass on covid whether or not you’ve been vaccinated so they’re unnecessary very true, I'm afraid despite the BBC's best efforts on project fear this week, we are going to have to live with this and make our own judgements. A vaccine passport system will achieve very little, I've had both jabs btw!

Absolutely against. You can pass on covid whether or not you’ve been vaccinated so they’re unnecessary I think the jury is still out on whether you can pass on the virus even if you have been vaccinated. It’s probably something that we won’t know for definite for a while, especially as new variants keep popping up.

The unfortunate truth is that we now have a substantial slice of the population which believes that ' no one tells me what to do'. If people are prepared to storm Wembley, abuse supermarket staff and in some cases deny Covid exists then co-operation with a vaccine passport scheme seems highly unlikely.
The very same people who tolerate racism think mask wearing is more of a 'freedom' issue, just imagine the outrage if they had to use their mobile phone for anything other than posting crap on instagram.

True but the studies are still ongoing. The issue is also the different variants. The flu vaccine changes every year based on the most common strains of flu found in the Southern Hemisphere. Sometimes they get it wrong and thousands of people die.

Summerwell, I don’t always agree with you. But this is 100% spot on. Well said.

Yes I wouldn’t be at all confident that they know that for sure. Why are vaccine passports even a consideration, explain.
