Holbrook, yes, my apologies, you do have a point. It just baffles me how people continue to defend, pretend and offend when it comes to the track record and behaviour of our Chairman. This is not some idle vendetta, it's simply that unless Scally changes his approach or gets others involved, we have absolutely no chance of a successful future.
Whilst its also highly unlikely that most board postings have the slightest influence on Scally, there are occasional signs that a message is getting through.
Currently the absence of filed accounts, which is being entirely blamed on the Auditors, suggests to me that something other than Covid absences ( show me the auditors who have to work from the office )are involved.
Scally o his video says - very hastily correcting what he is saying - that our accounts were done months ago. If that is the case and they are in order the auditors job of approval is absolutely routine. They have audited the account before so they are entirely familiar with the business. Gillingham FC is not a huge enterprise, with multiple trading sites and diverse businesses.
I hope the hold-up is just a technicality but the time delay would suggest something far more fundamental. If, as Mr Scally and his acolytes insist, all is well, then I will be as happy as any GFC fan. I just do not believe that the club would casually wander into a transfer embargo without any knowledge of what was happening. If Scally is that ignorant of his responsibilities it is even more reprehensible. For those who like to sidetrack the discussion, shame on you.
