Just not enough...again. we have some lightweights, mahoney, Walker, so poor sometimes.

Once again we look utterly clueless around the opposition box. Another open goal missed; Hawkins and Williams spent more time on their arses than a couple of OAPs on a coach trip.

I took a few non Gills supporting mates today. I had to explain to them that this was pretty much like every single home match this season. The lack of goal scorer I feel is a poor excuse for the management team and the players. The opposition quite clearly came for a point and they got tbut, we made it easy for them by hardly threatening their goal, all game. Ironically by default we find ourselves in the play off places, but all I want to see is a team that really gives it a go for the whole 90mins at home, not just in little spells. One home win in 2024 and please can the programme team leave out all the stats rubbish, as regardless of stats we didn't look like scoring today, and when we seemed to get a chance we don't take it.

I felt the back 4 were right on top of their game.
The midfield 2 were 5.5/10.
Mahoney was 6/10 with Williams, Lapslie and Hawkins solid 4s.
You don’t win games when your attacking players aren’t turning out 7/8 out of ten performances and ours definitely didn’t.
Hawkins was utterly abject. For God’s sake the guy is 6 ft 5, hardly wins a header and gets bullied. An unfit Andrews was an upgrade.

Lacklustre performance after a bright start. Defensively solid which we have been most of the season. But midfield and upfront utter garbage as usual. Created nothing of note in a game we really needed to win. We are an average Div 2 team.

I was amazed they were applauded from the field they were garbage.
In 50 years of watching the Gills easily the most frustrating team to watch and also the worst team on a attacking sense.
At least McDonald gave us some excitement last season.
I used to look forward to watching the Gills but other than three games this season,Southampton,Charlton and Swindon I have just come away from the matches I have seen totally peed off with what I have seen.
It's torture!!

After that dire performance they deserved what they got...
It proves how poor this league is if Crewe are 6th.

It just goes to show how awful this league is that we are in the last play-off spot by default.

We have the worst strike force in the league and still expect to finish in the top seven.

Without Masterson's goals we do not deserve to make the play-offs with such weak performances being the norm.

I booed both teams off the football was absolutely dire.
My wife got playful stick from the family as she said well done to Steve Clemence at the end of the game..
I remember so many Gills promotion fights dating back to the late 70's and both teams show some resemblance of decent football.
Be it Gills versus a Physical Chris Kamara Swindon team to the Preston team of Moyes and Port Vale under Mad dogs promotion season.
The Gills team and the majority of opposing teams I have seen this season have been absolutely dire.
We have no one who can lead our team to our success and with a negative indecisive management team the football has been crap...

It would be a struggle to argue with that point of view I'm very much afraid. I do see some personality in Masterson and Hutton but we so need that spine. If they don't get a Centre back with mouth and experience and a centre mid and forward with the same, it ll be a long slog. I so hope I'm wrong.
