Mark my words that if we persevere with Max Ehmer as our Captain promotion will never happen with him here.

He has been here during the lean years and it's miraculous that he is even playing in the football league.

I doubt he could even make Ebbsfleet starting lineup.

He talks in his interview(s) without any real conviction or passion, it doesn't come from the heart. Only a muppet would believe his shallow words. His laid back and carefree attitude, has filtered through to the rest of the players including the more experienced ones, who must be thinking this guy is nowhere near leadership material and he has the armband. When we fall behind in a game I bet nobody looks towards Max for guidance because his is the root of our defensive issues.

Max must be moved on to pastures new and forget about a testimonial because he is not club legend.

I dont mind if the Captaincy is taken off Max, I dont mind if we get a quick and commanding centre half alongside him or instead of him, in fact I've been calling for it, recruitment again, but Max will be seen as a Legend, hes done good things,and ive enjoyed watching him at times. But dont bad mouth him, he has a place.

There’s a time and a place for it.
Change captain mid season and you’re asking to destroy the dressing room and factionalise it.
If he was let go at EOS, I wouldn’t necessarily shed tears, but it’s not the defence that’s the issue is it? We’ve also got to assume that getting Masterson to stay will be a challenge at EOS. Do we want to lose both of our first choice centre backs?

Hess, the defence may be an issue, we havent let many in because of the way we set up in my view. I think Hutton is gonna be ok but the other 3 are up for grabs imo. My first signing would be someone like Piergianni or Piergianni himself and another left back. The other space could be filled by either of our centre backs but not all.

Looking at these statistics going back to 2014 / 15.. what does it tell you ?

It's conclusive proof that Max is a perennial loser, nobody can deny or dispute that he has been defensively suspect for many seasons and if we continue playing him then forgot about promotion.

Swans most will agree that Max is suspect, he needs the right person beside him, ie Ogilvie. But I dont think your stats are convincing in the point you re trying to make, Its a little unfair. I think we need to do something about the defence but with other changes it may not hinge on him so much.
