.......and if Gills really are going to be serious challengers for promotion this season they need to be scoring around 1.5 goals a game
is this a realistic target?

No reason we shouldn't. We have bayo, barcham, Weston, spiller all capable of getting at least 10 goals and surely McDonald could chip in with 10?

In our previous promotion season, Barcham only scored 6 in the league... Weston in the same season only scored 5.... Spiller so far this season has scored 2 in 7 matches so mathematically might be expected to get in double figures.... If any players will get into double figures, my money is on Afkinfenwa and Palmer with McDonald maybe getting close...
My question is how do you get the midfielders mentioned by you playing without them playing out of position etc? And is it possible without dropping our current top scorer in Palmer?

Good point John, forgot about palmer. I think our best midfield is barcham, Payne, Weston & spiller with barch on the left and spiller on the right. On current form though Weston wouldn't be in my side, palmer would instead with spiller in the middle

Our goal problems seem to be weighed up with Palmer, a non striker, being our leading scorer. However do feel that we now have the selection of strikers to put this to rights and send us on our way up.
