Stato...... I understand what you are saying but improve year on year is a open ended excuse, no mention of promotion because we don't have the ambition to achieve success, scally just wants to swell his coffers and Taylor is his smokescreen. I can predict what going to happen under taylor and scally if we accept this situation as it stands now, this will be how it will turn out , stay up this season just about, next season do nothing with the same squad, no promotion hopes and fans have enough and Taylor leaves end of next season. after nearly 3 seasons, scally is happy because he has saved lots of money, and kidded us for 3 seasons and we just let it happen, get a real people scally is a businessman like me, it's the balance sheet that means the be all and end all, scally will tell you one story and perform it differently behind the scenes.
That's business, in this game if your team does not perform, you cannot expect crowds to increase consistently and let's be honest, we have not performed very well under taylor, it's been below average too often and goals conceded have been extremely poor and stats in each game have told you all we need to know.
Our squad is below average for this division, we gills fans must be easy to please if we accept our current predicament, I just cannot see us doing anything under Taylor, believe me it will never be better than below average under his guidance, mark my words.

Swans...This witch hunt simply has to stop.Talk of promotion is light years away we simply have to walk before we can run in this league. Scally has proved he is not willing to spend his own money and as I understand it we can no longer borrow the money to fund investment in the team.Therefor any investment in the team has to come from gates. As far as we can tell we have largely spent the budget for this season.Any new players or coaching staff coming in will have to be matched by savings the new rules mean there really is no room to go for bust. You say you are a businessman well then look at the gates and tell me how we can afford the massive investment you seem to want. Your wish simply is not going to happen if Taylor were to be removed we would be left with very little choice but to promote Andy Hessenthaler for the rest of the season is that really what you want? ? The budget will remain the same for next season unless crowds pick up. We still have to pay Taylor for another year and a half regardless. This is his squad and style any change this season would only see a negative impact on the side.We would likely lose Kortney Hause at the end of the year should Taylor be removed.Frankly this wish of yours is not based in reality at all.It is not that fans don't want a better side of course we would all love to be top of this league but from where Taylor has started from that was always a very tall order. We have gone for youth that simply has to be given a chance to work.Over half of this side will be better players in years to come. That is something we have not ever been able to say.We simply must see it through. If we do stay up we will improve and young lads for this area that would have been heading anywhere but Priestfield will come our way.Long term we can move forward Rome wasn't built in a day.We live in a world with no time anymore.A I want it now society.A what about me. Instant success.Yet some of the best sides ever built in this country took time and the support of the fans of those clubs was part of that. Many businesses no longer employ staff long term appointments no longer happen. Weather you like it or not this is the only plan that has just a chance of working.Any other method and we are down in the next few years anyway. So please give it time to work.If Taylor pulls it off we can build a future with or without him. If we do go down we will still be better off in the long run in my view than if we had stuck by the more regular route. But the whole thing can only work if fans stick with it.

Sorry swansgills888, but for a businessman you appear to have a very narrow and one track approach precluding anything or person that does not agree with you. You obviously are entitled to your opinion but am afraid that to many it is rather repetitive and becoming rather insipid. Statos comments obviously are well considered and thought through being far more representative of the facts than most comments posted here. The time is such that what our young team require is support, aiding their development, not an eternal tirade of abuse slagging the management and all who dare to fail to follow some peculiar "party line" Keep thinking stato and COYG. My rant over (for now)
