Enough is enough, bywater in ahead of nelson, you are making some terrible decision Taylor, I know you want to stay at my club but you are finished, conference football is your standard at best and you know it, canvey Island would love you back there. You know you are out of your depth at the gills , our stupid chairman who is not a very good one at that and wastes so much time abroad, for what, would you invest in a scallywag like him who is not most people's cuppa tea, in that he does not look trustworthy, I meet loads of people in business from all over the world and I can guarantee you scallywag has no charisma and trying to find investors whilst under his ownership is a dead end, the only way this club will progress is if scally is not around because he and the poor managers he consistently hires screw this club good and proper believe me, I'm sure 99 per cent of people would not takeover this club, unless he was ousted, scally is not a chairman who can be trusted and being Chinese myself and born in uk I know and can see right through scally.
I'm pissed off with excuse after excuse,
good week in training, Just need a bit of luck First or second phase Show respect to opposition Blames certain players for not taking their chances Never blames himself.
We just have to accept Taylor cannot manage a team even in league one and he has a team of lightweights in the main, including himself, no organisation and he just cannot get players playing for him, so that spells the end .
I'm guarantee you all, he will be gone shortly.

I love this club, but what is happening at the moment is unacceptable and Taylor's not taking responsibility and blaming quality and everyone else but himself is bringing this club of ours to its knees. You signed dickenson, Norris, macglashan, Pritchard, Morris and kept linganzi, when in truth you messed up and bought a load of passengers and released the wrong players like bayo, because he is a character and better than keds everyday of the week and scally and Taylor don't want anyone at this club who has a voice, it's jobs for mates and not for players and staff with ability, my cousin in Woking has decided not to go until Taylor is gone, he is waiting like many of us for a new vision, not a poor manager who knows he can't get another job in football league once he leaves the gills. Bye bye Taylor !!!!

Having supported the Gills for over 60 years it saddens me to see what a few people are doing to the club. Firstly the manager, PT, who has taking us on a downward spiral into the relegation zone. If my memory serves me correctly he stated last season that the team he inherited was not good enough and that in 2014--15 season it would be "his" team. Well " his" team is nowhere good enough and I feel he is out of his depth in Div1. On this basis he should clear his desk first thing Monday morning, or a taxi for three and take 2 others with him. These being AH and PS. I agree with others that PS has no respect with the vast majority of supporters and appoints only "yes" men into the club. His great friendship with both PT and AH is well defined. Let's get these three out and apoint a new chairman who will benefit the club by appointing managerial staff capable of doing a far better job than the present incumbents.

Rapidly losing faith in Taylor, have tried but this is taxing, might be a good idea to get rid of the physiotherapist next that might solve the problem, obviously the departure of the fitness element did not. Think I'll start to read Grimes fairy tales seems less like fiction than the excuses emanating from some quarters. not sure if tocry be angry or if I'm totally perplexed

Swansgills888. Firstly, Ok I think you have made your point large and clear. Although I don't entirely agree with a lot you say, you always make a passionate argument. Secondly, I really wanted Peter Taylor to be a success and produce a good footballing side. I sincerely believe that Paul Scally, Peter Tayler and Andy Hess (Mr Gillingam) are good and honest men with the club in their hearts, so it hurts me to see them rubbished in this way.
However, where do the club go from here, there is certainly a lot of negativity surrounding the club. I do agree Swansgills888 that a lot of the players signed by Taylor are not performing to the standard needed and some looked completely shell shocked and afraid to make mistakes. Some like Loft and Macglashan just haven't lived up to the billing. Of course this is down to Taylor. Maybe his Mr nice guy image needs to change, it's his job on the line after all. During this awful run The least I want to hear is that training is twice a day and in on Sunday's. They don't look fit enough. They are young, I want to see the sweat dripping off them and committed like I see Premiership players. Where's their ambition.
It hurts me as much as all Gills supporters seeing the likes of Crawley, Fleetwood, MK Dons and others seemingly over taking us in the football league. The club don't appear to be progressing on any front. No decent players, no new stadium on the horizon, no official supporters club with a voice. Slowly becoming a joke and butt of everybody who enjoys knocking them. In fact back to the bad old days.
The Chairman needs to take back control quickly and make those responsible smarten up their act or leave for the good of the club. Too many having an easy ride if you ask me. It's too important just to let the weeks drift by with no action. I can't believe the Club are heading backwards to Div 2 and nothing's happening to stop the slide. Wake up before it's too late.

Excellent post greyfox. Nice and balanced.
I don't think there is a lot wrong with the signings, apart from the decision not to properly strengthen the forward line. I still feel that the decision to sign Keds over Bayo was at the root of our problems. Otherwise, Hoyte looks an improvement at right back, Egan and Hause are both good prospects. Some of the others have been seriously hindered by getting injured in pre season. How many players have poor seasons after missing pre season? Remember Danny jackman when he came back? Awful apart from the year when he actually had a full pre season and stayed injury free. We've seen flashes from mcglashan, Pritchard, loft and Dickenson, but all 4 have been injury hit and haven't been able to play consistently. I believe if they do, we'll find out that they are all good players.
Now the issue has clearly been fitness which is back to where is was under Hess. For his faults, mad dog had the fitness side nailed. It's been a disaster under Taylor and that can only come down to his coaching, especially given his previous record at other clubs. It's something that rather than getting stroppy about, he needs to take a hard hard look in the mirror about

Back to the pre season signings and releases, but have to agree 100% that bayo should have stayed over keds, whelpdale should have been kept and whilst most people hated him, I would have kept Gregory. With that maturity it would have helped the youngsters and steadied the ship.

Hessisgod... Wrong decision to keep keds over bayo... It's obvious that the midfield is poor, the service to the front is limited, we don't have enough quality its that simple, I like loft, but macglashan,Pritchard and Dickenson are not good enough for this league and performances and goals have proved this beyond doubt, the longer taylor persuavere with these players the threat of relegation is a real possibility, even Norris has been a failure up front, but to be totally honest a change of manager is needed and I can see the players are not really playing for him, he is the root of the problem, just like solksjaer was at Cardiff, once he left the team under Slade are a different team and I feel than a change is needed asap to breath new life into the team and we still early enough to make a fist of this season.

Why do we always have to have whipping boys to blame when things aren't going well? It was Gregory, Barrett and Legge last year, now it's someone else and when they have moved on we'll find others. "It's obvious they're not good enough etc", really? Why is it obvious? Obvious to who? Why is a player who has been at the club for a short length and time and had injury problems clearly not upto league one? Why is loft not included in your quartet? Let's consider a bit of football reality. Often, a new signing takes a while to gel or adjust to new surroundings. Take Lamela at Spurs. Awful last year, being labeled a flop, rumours Spurs wanted to move him on etc. 2nd season, with a full pre season, and looks a decent player. Not £30mill yet, but decent. Take the Liverpool signings. Markovic, Lalana, Lambert, Louvren. All quality players, 3 proven in the premiership, 2 England internationals. All 4 look pretty average at present. Markovic and Lalana injured in pre-season. All 4 settling into a new club and style of play. I could quote hundreds of examples over the years to demonstrate the point, but the fact is, until these boys have had a run in the team and are fully match fit, we can't judge them. I saw a few of our pre season games and I have no doubt that loft, mcglashan and Dickenson will come good. Pritchard has something about him that suggests with a run in the side, he can be a genuinely creative force. He is very intelligent, if slightly over ambitious with his passing at present. I admit to not getting Norris, but Brentford felt he was good enough for them, so he must have something about him.

I agree with a lot that hessisgod says but at the same time disagree with a lot of it, for instance, yes a lot of new players does mean time to settle, often, but how long is too long, we are joint last in the league in November and are not looking promising, we are getting whipped most games in the stats, creativity seems lacking ect...... Ok so give youth a chance and hope it comes good, but again, how long is to long, at the minute we are not just bad we are proper pants.

I agree that players need a good run in the team in order to settle in, but just when Dickenson, after a woeful start has had two very promising games on the left wing, Taylor leaves him out. Baffles me.

Swanley, I'm not saying there is nothing that can be done, just that getting on players backs is counter productive and frankly daft at this stage. I have felt that we are a striker light since Bayo was let go. Taylor certainly should have brought someone in to work with Cody while Kedwell was injured and I am yet to be convinced by the Cody/Keds partnership. I believe Kedwell is at his best as a lone striker. I also feel that both of our wide men have struggled with injuries and we lack cover there. If we could sign some quality, even temporary, in those positions, I think we'd be getting better results
