I know I have been constantly moaning about the ineptitude of Peter Taylor ,but Paul Scally employed him so the buck stops with him! If Taylor gets sacked and sadly it looks like a big if ,can we guarantee Scally employing a decent replacement ,sadly no, because no one of any standing in the game would work with him! I cannot for the life of me understand why no one has come in with a bid for the club to oust Scally ,the potential of the club maybe not be Premiership standard but is higher than what we are achieving now! We have seen two clubs,Luton and Bristol Rovers with a bigger fan base and potential disappear into non league football in the past decade ,Luton have come again but mybfear is that Gills will slide into the depths of none league football like Stockport County if Scally stays at the hem of our club!

Scally started well at this club but since the heady days of pulis and the championship era it's been very poor by scally lots of poor decision making on managers and Taylor is following suit, the problem is not many people like scally and I for one don't trust his intentions and I'm convinced potential investor abroad don't trust scally because he does not look sincere or even convincing on his interviews, no charisma whatsoever, does not come across as a warm person or even someone you would like to meet, full stop.
To many weak people involved in this club so scally can do what he wants, the club has a very poor profile in football circles and never delivered any real football of note in recent years, these last 2 years have been very poor indeed and we still expected to accept the current situation as it stands, think again fans, being a gills fan, usually it's bad news, let's be honest with ourselves, so the only way to move forward is new ideas under a new chairman, new blood and new image, scally is raping this club, so be strong fans, change needs to happen or failure will be a norm for gillingham fc.

At the risk of provoking another tirade - this isn't going to happen, is it. Chairmen don't walk away from football clubs. It doesn't matter how vocal some of the fans get in wanting them out, they have too much tied up in the club to simply leave. I would imagine this is even less likely in the case of a football club whose chairman doesn't even live in the country and so doesn't have to put up with people accosting him in the street and telling him he has no charisma.
So the choice seems to be that you either support the club with the current chairman, or you stop supporting it.

Its not a case of not supporting the club once in your blood hard to not care, but my question was why on earth has nobody tried to buy Scally out! Supporters will be watching Gills if they drop into non league, sadly under Scally that is where we will eventually end up!

Nice to have some light relief for a short while. Well I've just bought my tickets for Saturday rather impressed that although I phoned them to purchase I received a confirmation of the tickets I bought by email. That's a first.

I have heard a few unconfirmed rumours over the last year or so from a source that I would say could be true.Scally has had bids for the club over the years. It could just be that he wants more than the club is worth to walk away it is not going to happen. The current set up does give us a chance to move forward weather that be under Scally or not.IE we have no real debt now we have a young squad who I am convinced will get better but do need to be given the chance to express themselves more.Still not convinced we need to make that many changes.I feel what is need is the fans to get behind the players.Boosting their confidence and allow this side a few more weeks at least. It could that the cup games are just what the doctor ordered. Some of our better displays have come in cup games this season. The extra freedom away from the league could help to lift the camp in the coming days.

It would be just like us to beat Bristol City, and although I want to, it would also make Taylors tenure a bit more secure.

Very tough match and I would love to win as the confidence that goes with it maybe just what we need.
