Another great partnership, not!! Won't be sorry, over priced rubbish and other than a drink I wouldn't eat the rubbish that is served up.

Pretty bad news for the club as a whole though. That was a very lucrative deal and we won't come close to replacing the income from it. They paid well over the top and we'll be lucky to get a third of the income with a new caterer

What a strangely worded statement from the club.
Will it be so bad financially hessisgod? Presumably, as they're pulling out early, the club will have to be compensated and then can get someone else in anyway.
I agree with Muppet, but sadly doubt that the food will be any better or cheaper under whoever comes in next - always long queues though, so someone's buying. Personally, I'd ask the catering manager at a local school if they fancy some weekend work and take it back in house, for the ground catering anyway. The hospitality is a different animal and shouldn't be done by the same people IMO - needs a proper marketing effort.
My only request - please can we have real tea with real milk?

It's got to be Bovril for me. Very hard to mess up a cup of Bovril.

Not sure about that mistert, I can't make it taste the same at home as it does in the ground. Never was much of a cook....

Frankly my son is doing catering at college and tells me nobody there will touch Centreplate they are not good to work for.We do buy a half time drink but do not use it much other than that. Not sure it is good news for Scally although he will no doubt make them pay up big time. But from a fan view there simply has to be better the college serve up better food the setting is 1st class piano bar etc.I would like to see the club take it in house get a up and coming chef to run things. There has to be loads of local chefs that would be interested if they were allowed to run it as there own maybe give them a share in profits to motivate them and get in a good un.As for the tea bars etc they could even be split up and rented out giving fans more choice the Stones (yes I have been there once or twice but never supported them) seem to do things that way and to be frank it works far better than ours.It would also bring competition which would bring prices down.

There is indeed scope for someone to "do a Delia" and introduce local catering using local recipes. I am told that at Norwich the pies and their contents change for each match with some really original ones but are mostly local fare. I also support one of the Premiership rugby sides and they have a hog roast, a real money spinner. They also do real good quality pasties for about the same price as the pies at Priestfield.

I Think they should do this in house as well, there must be good profits to be made from a venture of this nature.

The one and only time I have used the food stalls at the ground it was at the Rainham end of the Gordon Road Stand, during the Barnsley match. The 'burger and bun'(£3.80) was the worst piece of cardboard I have ever tasted. For the Doncaster game it was back to the chippy on Livingston Circus.
