hessisgod. Scally is not in a tough position. The forum does reflect the general feeling that Lovell has no long term future at the helm. Have you noticed we have lost 10 games at home this season and all of those defeats gives me 10 reasons why he should be gone after the season finishes. Have you heard Lovell mention anything about the future and what aspiration he has as a manager ?? NO. Evans might not be your cuppa tea, but he is a leader and has a winning mentality and knows how to set up teams and make them expansive, something Lovell does not possess, our current manager will never manage above league one and his overall ability is about 4 or 5 out of ten and personality wise the same. I think my assessment is a very accurate view. SCALLY IN A REALLY TOUGH POSITION !!! GET REAL HESSISGOD. No, this forum doesn't represent the general consensus with regards to Steve Lovell. He always seems to get a good reception at any game I've been to, and I don't think I've heard anyone shouting abuse at him at any games either, which you did have with JED and Pennock. Of course if you actually went to a match you might know that. Of course, that doesn't mean we should keep Lovell, we shouldn't, he needs to go, but you don't represent the views of other Gillingham supporters And and you don't know that either.

I know what I see and hear at matches, because unlike some people on this board I actually watch Gillingham, and what i have seen and heard so far is at odds with the assertion that the fans don't like Lovell.
Don't get me wrong there is booing during/after a bad performance but I've yet to hear anything directed at Lovell specifically.
Before JED was sacked he was getting abuse before and after games

When I watch the home games, the fans aren't moaning about Lovell. I hear the occasional person moan about certain players but they don't say anything about Lovell because everyone is too busy supporting the team. We have probably all heard crowds when they turn against a manager but I haven't heard it recently at home games. People are quick to put negative comments on here when we get a bad result but nothing is said when we do well.

All you need to know is that Lovell won't be here next season regardless.

All you need to know is that Lovell won't be here next season regardless. That's most likely true, but we won't know for certain until he's gone, unless you have some inside knowledge about how the club is run. Are you Paul Scally on a wind up?

As soon as the Maclovell Burger is on the menu in gillingham high street, I will let you know.
Sometime during the summer.
I will relish it.

4-2 at AFC Wimbledon.
So 6 points (give or take) from being pretty much safe?
Looks like Lovell still has the boys playing for him.
He does need to go though, can't have another season like this.

Funny how after yet another excellent victory that takes us to twelfth place, the unhappy duo go suddenly quiet.

Where oh where is a rich sugar daddy who can increase the turnover to the levels required for a solid second tier club going to come from? Paul Scally may be unable to move us forward. but people are not queuing up to buy him out. Top half this season will be looked on as a success, and Steve Lovell may well be here a little longer.

12th not good enough, absolute rubbish. You really are supporting or supposedly supporting the wrong team then Donut. We will be lucky to finish 12th, but with the budget, infrastructure and personnel we have that’s as good as it gets. Until all that changes then we are Gills and will dream of the odd success every few years.

And that my friend is the the sort of negativity that will get us eventually relegated, still if you re happy with that.....

12th this year for us would be the equivalent of Liverpool winning the premier league. It would be an unbelievable achievement with our budget.
I have always said that people like Donut and Swans think we are real Madrid and we should be top of the league. Even if we were top of the league they would want us to go the whole season unbeaten.
feck living in their households where nothing would be good enough 🙈

If at the latter they can look forward to playing Dorking

The rest of the time weve been dicing with death. I want more than that and it is possible. You are the negative ones, you are the addicks fans.
