A shadow of his former self second time around and been on the fringes since his injury. Another high earner that hess will want to move on asap but unlikely to get many offers to go out on loan unless his form improves dramatically

Pretty sure that there are clubs who would take him. Wouldn't be surprised to see him return to Northampton where he's held in high regard

Well known that his mrs wants to move back up Midlands way... reason he went to Northampton last time. We could do a lot worse than to ship him out before the season starts, not sure he's 100% into the Gills.

Let him go.
The only reason he why not is because he can play left midfield and not many others can however, he is no longer needed to cover left back or centre mid as we have lots of them.

I spoke to a fan pre season last year who claimed Danny Jackman had told him he wanted to move on then.I had no real reason to believe or disbelieve him at the time but having shown very little last season I now think he could have been spot on.I think he told me Danny want to go back to playing left back if thats true that clearly is just not going to happen now.Hess clearly likes big full backs and in this division that is a must.

Decent on the ball but too small! First time he was here I thought he looked quite a good left back but then Stimson paid a lot of money for him gave him a 3 year contract built him up into being the best central midfielder ever because he played well for Northampton against us! the alleged 100k and I'm guessing 2k aweek for 3 years we paid has been a massive drain on our resources for a player that overall, although slightly hampered by injuries, has been poor on his return....thats my thought on Danny Jackman !!

Obviously hard to judge on the back of 45 minutes against Ashford, but is he being considered as back-up/competition to the left-back position?

My guess is that any further moves could be loans or take place on the eve of the season to save cash.In the next week or so we should see attempts to get at least 2 and maybe 3 more players to leave.Jackman would be a likely choice Hess said a squad of 18-20 we are not far from that now. My guess is to bring in any more, one or more players must leave.

Don't know if anyone will buy him though,as there are so many freebies available. We may have to give him a free or loan him out.

I'm sure he'll be a free. Out of contract at the end of the season anyway, and let's face it, we won't be renewing
