Probably one for Big Al.
Any idea what the car parking arrangements are for the away game at Brighton?
Their website is not particularly helpful.

Like you Willie I'm having difficulty in finding matchday car parking sites near the Amex. It seems the University campus parking is restricted to their own STH's
Talk on the fans forums of private car parking sites opening up but nothing definite. Had a bad experience with the Withdean Park & Ride scheme so not keen on using that to the Amex
I've put in a call to the Seagulls Supporters Club who may be of assistance and will reply with any news via this thread

Contacted Brighton today. There is no local parking other than the Park & Ride schemes.
The web site and person I spoke to mentioned that you need a voucher for the Park & Ride.
I was told to contact the Gills for a voucher.

I was told to contact the Gills for a voucher. Brighton should have sent vouchers to Priestfield but haven't so I'm being told from the Seagulls end that our match tickets will suffice. Just awaiting confirmation there is no charge as the vouchers for home fans were £1 each Will post here asap with the answer

Received confirmation this morning from Brighton & Hove FC that Gills fans do not require vouchers for the Amex Park & Ride scheme and on production of their match tickets will allow them to park at the three designated ParK & Ridesites and use the buses for free to and from the Amex stadium The Mill Road area where Gills fans parked when visiting Seagulls former Withdean Stadium would be easiest as it is situated near the junction of the A23/A27 tinyurl.com/3su8nx9

Al,
This was the email I received from the Brighton & Hove ticket office which is contrary to what you have been told. Hi
You are welcome to use on of our park and rides at Mill Road, Mithras House, or Brighton race course. In order to use these you need to buy a one off travel voucher from our ticket office in advance. other wise you can park in town and get the train to the stadium only 3 stops away form the centre of Brighton or Lewes.
Regards
Rowan Bangs
Assistant Ticket Office Manager
Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club

If you're an old git a Senior Citizen's Concessionary Bus Pass can be used on the Park & Ride.

I'm sure your information is correct and as it is a new stadium they are not all operating from the same hymn sheet but if you call the club direct they tell you that you will only be able to use the park and ride scheme if you have a voucher £1.50 per person which can only be purchased from the club directly. I did tell them what the forums are saying and was told that it wasn't true that a match ticket would suffice. I suppose it is a case of pay the money or take your chances that they will let you off on the day. Glad to see that it's not just our club that can't supply people with the right information.
