Long standing Gills fan Dick Wroe who sadly passed away on 19th July after losing his short battle with pancreatic cancer was laid to rest at Bobbing Crematorium today
Our deepest condolences to wife Sue and children Kirsty, Will & Paul
Many like myself will miss his banter at home games and lively comments on the GillsConnect forum

Really sorry to hear that news. Didn't agree with hardly anything he had to say about the Gills, but sad news nonetheless.

I thoroughly enjoyed his postings just to see how he managed to stir things up, and he did that to good effect, in both this house and in the other. However, he was genuinely one of us and a 'Gills' through and through. Sincere condolences to his family. RIP Mr Wroe.

Al - thanks for coming yesterday much appreciated by us all and thanks everyone for the messages Dad loved the banter on here, he had strong views and loved discussing them.
He loved the club and spent many years driving the supporter coaches, and occasionally the team coach, in the 80s.
He was fine last game of last season and laid to rest yesterday at 64, he promised me he would be there today, hanging round the Rainham end goal, making sure we won 4-1.
It really will be quiet in the GRS now!
