Cody will go somewhere in this window even it it's on loan as he not got a squad number at norwich. Why not on loan to us for 6 months cause if we can get promoted he out of contract next summer so could pick him up on a free for the 2012/2013 season

There has been plenty of Championship interest, just been the price thats put teams off. Peterborough were keen, Sheff Wed in league 1 and several others. I'd be very surprised if coming back to us was even on his radar

Yeah I agree that maybe the case but Norwich are doing us a favour in being stupid with there price for a player with no squad number as it's scaring every1 off so the loan option could be on the cards for 6 months. Lets hope and pray anyway lol

He hasnt even played in any of the pre season friendlys! No way to treat any player that can earn the club a good amount of money. Fingers crossed he doesn't sign for anyone then they loan him out to us when the transfer window is shut!

Heard from someone who I know has good sources that we have potentially agreed a loan for Cody up until the 1st January... ie, if he does come here again and scores as before, he'll keep his value up for the reopening of the transfer window... If Norwich can't agree a full transfer now, then the value won't go up if he is rotting in the reserves or potentially failing at somewhere like Colchester.
This is of course assuming someone like Millwall don't up their offer and agree a fee in the meantime...
Edited additional comment: I do now wonder, if the above is true, whether or not Hess's comments about a signing could take a couple of weeks to do is a way of unofficially saying "Norwich have agreed to loan us Cody if they don't get an offer in the next few weeks"...
