Agree with superblues. Rooney should have been over the other side of the pitch, not coming across to receive the ball from Fuller. This is his problem . He just wants to chase the ball all over the pitch. I despair of Hess ever managing to get much out of him. His passing for the short time he was on,was diabolical. I don't think he once found a blue shirt, and Cheltenham found him easy to deal with, apart from the one time when he collected an excellent throw from Flitney, when for once he was in his correct position, and then hacked down. You can't say things like that.....what about your 'karma'! ;D ;D At least this remark made me smile. As for Rooney, on Saturday he looked like 'little boy lost' when he came on. Whatever do they do in training all week. He always looks desperate to me to make an impression but so far has not shown enough to hold down a regular place. I fear that once a new forward arrives he will be lucky to be on the bench. Sorry, but the game on Saturday was a bit like watching school boy football with all the players following the ball. 20 payers within a quarter of the pitch. Still 3 points and a clean sheet. So I don't think entertainment has much to do with anything these days.

PS, 1 more thing to add to the Payne debate - I notice he's 4th in the MOTM poll on a rival site so clearly a lot of people think he did OK

It does make me laugh how people on this site try to discredit everything others say. You try to discredit coaching badges. How funny when the FA think there of big future importance to develop the kids of the future. You are right and I apologise.... Since you have a coaching badge and I don't, I accept that your view automatically trumps mine by default... And I do think the FA is doing a great job in thinking of the future of english football... We consistantly reach the quarter finals in most tournaments before crashing out in mass disappointment. If it wasn't for the FA, we'd probably constantly fail to get out of the group stages due to substandard players taught by substantard coaching... ;D
