Does anyone know what is happening with Charlie Allen?
It seems very suspicious to me that he doesn't even get a look in these days - not even a place on the bench - since his Dad left the Club. I wouldn't say he was the best midfield player in the squad last season when we won the title but he always gave 100% and is surely worth a place in the squad if only as cover? In recent games our midfield's work rate has dropped off alarmingly late in the game and this has coincided with us conceding late goals - Charlie would surely have been effective coming on late in the game as he always covers the ground to close down the opposition.
I can only assume that either PT does not rate him at all - or perhaps there's another agenda?

I thought he played well for us until his hand break and then came back to soon. Still think he is worth a punt and still very young.

Just not good enough in my opinion. Effort and enthusiasm aside he has little to offer. No one has come in for him and he did about 10 minutes and a red card for Tamworth. Non league footballer.

I'm with you on this one swanleygill, as good as the other youngsters we have (when he played last season we was on our good run and when he didn't we started to fall away)and still plenty of time to develop and get his conduct issues sorted.

It could be the problem is that Martin Allen wasn't that popular in the end with the players that is always going to make it difficult for Charlie.Things could well have become very difficult between him and his team mates following Martin departure if the stories about Martin Allen being really unpopular are true.Bit sad really because Charlie seems a good lad.But if things are not right and can't be put right between him and the other members of the squad there really is only one thing Taylor could do.

I've noticed that neither Charlie nor any of the other players sit behind the dug out any more - I wonder if he's even required to attend on match days?

I would think there is more to this,
As Taylor did say he would give Charlie a fair crack.
Making one appearance on the subs bench (really gives Taylor food for fault)
Good luck Charlie when you leave as it obviously looks as if your not wanted hear. (shame)

Although to be honest, Charlie was out of favour when his dad was manager, so I don't think you can read too much into the fact Taylor doesn't favour him either.
