Given Gillingham's past it will be quiet rare for us to sit safely in mid table with matches to go.But if we can tie up the season before the loan window shuts(around the 28th March I believe) it could be of great benefit although I am sure it would lead to smaller crowds.Management issues and contracts could be sorted. Releasing out of contract players early to find loan clubs(thus saving funds)and bringing in a few so we can look at them with a view to next season. Being able to sort matters early could and will help it the long term also a chance to look at a few young players before the end of the season may help sort out the cream of the crop. We like other clubs look to sort out our youth players in March. If we could pick up a really quick winger being released by a top club or anyone of real value we could look forward with more confidence.Give Taylor his due he has turned things around with only a few players added to the squad.Get these points sorted in the next few weeks and I feel it could really help all round.

Cant really argue with any of that, but like you say 'Given Gillingham's past it will be quiet rare for us to sit safely in mid table with matches to go' While hopeful we can i am still nervous of the fact it will go to last 1-2-3 games, I hope i am wrong.

I agree with your comment we"re not there yet, what worries me are the teams around us with games in hand, for example if Sheff Utd game had been played and Won tonight (cancelled)at home. they would of come out of the bottom 4, thus leaving a 7 pt gap, leaving Crewe with a game in hand. I would say Notts county and Shrewbury are favorites for the drop.leaving 2 places up for grabs. We still have some tough away games on the fixture list and a few 6 pointers.lets just hope we can achieve those 12pts sooner rather than later as we all know football can bite you when your not expecting it. (There are still 45pts to play for, for some teams more.) Come on you Blue Boys...........
