18 year-old Palace centre-back Ryan Inniss has joined on loan for the rest of the season. Has already had spells with both Cheltenham and Luton Town this season and expected to figure in the squad to face Sheffield United next Wednesday

A interesting one 6ft 5inch strong centre back who has played for England at under 16-17-18s.Said to be a good leader.Leadership really did seem to go missing when we played at Stevenage without Barrett.A lot of our problems at the back seem to me to be a collective problem.I wonder who is most likely to get the chop from the side if he comes in.Barrett has struggled at this level but then so has Legge. Davies meanwhile seems to have gone backwards for me Davies and Legge really did not work at all there was no voice at all at the back.Meanwhile the other thing that should be remembered is that this is a youth loan therefor I believe he can be recalled at any time.Which means no centre back will be leaving on loan. The other small matter is did Mr Scally ring Tony Pulis."Hi Tony uncle Paul here thanks for everything you did for us during your time with us.Is there any chance you can send us Innis on loan?" How I would love to be a fly on the wall right now.

I would expect Legge to be dropped. Taylor wouldn't drop the captain except for resting reasons.
And I have a feeling Scally phoned their chairman who then went and asked Pulis before their chairman rang Scally back and said ok....

I'm just hoping Taylor doesn't leave him on the bench until he gets fed up and leaves. I'm loving the thought of the palace chairman asking pulis if he'd do Scally a favour...

Its a big ask for this youngster to step up straight away. I reckon he will warm the bench for 1 week or two and come on if we are either winning by a few or losing by a few, he wont risk it in a close game, unless injuries.
