Anyone know whats happened to Birchall since he came back from Dartford, thought he might have been given a chance but has not even made the bench. Heard from a friend that Dover are interested in re signing him. Not had a lot of luck since he picked up that injury, think his contract is up soon.

As far as I can recall he is training with the team, but told he can go out on loan, possibly in a hope of finding a new team. I think his contract finishes at the end of the season.

nobody cares, he proved at dartford he is nowhere near the required standard to succeed at our club, bad luck with injury and good luck back in the non-league circuit.

I and many others care he always cared, did his best and played with a smile non his face. The least any supporter can do is wish him well. With the bad injury it clear was not meant to be.But that is no reason to write off his career the Dartford move clearly did not work for him.But as with Cody it often depends with strikers how the team play and who you play up front with. Birchall may or may not make it as a league player the game is about opinions and weather a player is given the breaks.Jake Hessenthaler is a case in point had Peter Taylor never returned he may well have been a loss to the game when he has clearly proved himself worth a squad place at least.I for one wish Birchall well in his future.

Agree statotheblue, he injured himself playing for our club and giving his best to impress and get a place in the team. The minimum he deserves is all our best wishes as at the end if the day it's his livelihood and career.

He looked very promising when I watched him in a friendly really bad luck for getting injured so early on in his career with Gillingham. I should imagine he was completely gutted as this was probably his dream job come true.
