Although Scally hasn't actually published this information yet, I'd like to congratulate Scally in alienating all the ST holders with the new pricing for next season! I for one will not be renewing!
(yeah the details haven't been published yet, but in light of the rumour the info will be leaked at today's match, I thought I'd get the moaning thread up and running early)

Can you tell us anymore about this?

I didn't see anything re next season's prices at the game today. I reckon they were hoping we'd be safe after today so could confidently sell L1 tickets. Not yet...
There hasn't been any financial benefit to having a ST for a while, as so many tickets are given away free or cheap through the season. I buy mine solely as an insurance policy to make sure I can be there when Man U play at Priestfield!

I will buy ST this year I have been going for a long time and like where I sit and know all the people around me. I don't disagree with kids for a quid because we need to encourage the younger generation to come now and be the supporters in the future. Bit irritating when they sell tickets for £10. I see Charlton are offering some cheap STs for next season and they could encourage some of our supporters to jump shop.

I agree re Kids for a quid gillsjan but it doesn't make any sense that it stops when they turn 12 - just as they're getting to the point where they have lots of other calls on their time and money (pocket or parents') and are more independent with the choices they make (i.e. no longer going just because dad does)we put their prices up substantially and lose them.

Point taken don't disagree with that as I don't take kids I did not realise that it stopped at 12. You are right of course the early teenage years is when you want to keep their interest in the game and for a family to come it must put a strain and anyone's finances. My dad took me to Cray Wanderers when I was a kid but it was pretty cheap to get in. In fact at times kids went free,

I am quite amazed this thread has been started by you johnknee, the king of disagreeing with most of the people most of the time but usually with some small facts or substance behind it, Having a rant about something that has not been published or made public is rather stupid and foolish I said rumour as the theory is that Scally normally wants the early bird offer to end towards the end of April and usually the early offer is open for about a month. Since today was the last home match this month, I heard a few people speculate today would be the likely day of announcements. On the basis of that, I started this thread. And you missed the point of the thread. I predict that once the prices are released, there will be those on here who will moan that the offer is poor and Scally is cheating the loyal ST holders with the asking price etc and there will be a load of people on here saying Scally has finally broken the camel's back and they won't be renewing. Simply because there are those on here who simply hate Scally and will complain at every opportinity. Alas, I would (as expected) disagree with your comment that I am "having a rant". My original post is hardly having a rant. (Then again, you seem to take it really personally if I happen not to agree with your most humble of humble opinions). I do love the accusation that I argue with "some small facts or substance behind it". Surely a better way to back an opinion than one without any substance to it??

No point in this until prices etc are announced, then we can all really have a good whinge, or not! Agree with you technical, my youngest ST went from £25 to £140 and you are right he no longer wants to sit with his grumpy old man all the time as he has other things on occasions he would rather do. Therefore, unless he guarantees suffering like I do by watching crap like yesterday then I will not renew his. The club (I have written to tell them before) needs to reduce the price for 12 and above and not make it such a large hit and if they did then I think he would get 2/3 mates along with us with new STs That didn't quite go to plan!

I wonder if I am the only person who does not continually moan about Mr Scally. Since he took over we are in a reasonable position with a club which does not have big financial worries a good well looked after ground there must be a number if Chairman who are envious of our position. I am sure many of you must remember some of the previous owners. Mr Scally is a business man who needs to make the investment work.

I have backed him on numerous occasions and will continue to do so, as you rightly say he is running a business that needs to at least break even; if not what all know what that means. My point is when we are desperate to keep the youngsters coming into their teens we scare them away with a huge price hike. I would keep the costs lower for all kids up to when they leave school and then increase them, as they will then be adults and should be earning.
