2 misses out of 2 for Kedwell now? It appears he may have grabbed the rebound again today but what has happened to his kicks? If not him, who would take the penalties? Another 4 goal hammering says our defense is still not very strong.

It's a cunning plan so he scores more from open play Someone stick a tail on it and call him a fox

Not sure we need a replacement yet, but if he misses another 1 then I would say so. As to a replacement nobody automatically springs to mind. Not sure i would blame the defence again, but will await the report before judging them. My concern is the tactics, I know boring but away to the likes of Barnsley and others I would play 5 defensive type players and hope for a breakaway goal or two. Our wide players are too lightweight and poor defensively to play strong teams away.

Am I right in saying that Keds seems to have changed his method of delivering the ball? Never seen this happen before.

The fact is Keds is still scoring from penalties. They are not going straight in but does that really matter unless it is in a penalty shoot out no.If we do need a shoot in the league cup or the jpt there is nobody a would prefer taking one than him. There are few Gills players in our history with a better record.Lets face it it is the least of our worries. We are scoring goals enough to have a few more points on the board we are just letting in far too many.

Agreed he is still scoring but twice on the trot seems to indicate he is doing something different?

Possibly confidence An issue, perhaps in training he has had trouble with them. However as said above he is still scoring them so not our biggest issue ATM.

We miss Loft, from what i heard on the radio Hess Jnr and Dack struggled in the middle today, inexperience maybe, and Barnsley are no mugs, How is this Hoyte fella looking, and i personally am surprised Dickinson did not start.

Lightweight midfield, need some experience and physical presence. Unfortunately for us that was lingazhi and he is always injured.

In my book Keds has not "missed" two pens. in a row, both were on target and blocked, consider classing these as missed pens is detrimental to both the the Keeper as he has stopped them and to the pen taker who had his strike on target. Must admit in Keds case if he has change his policy when taking a spot kick it appears to be to his detriment, but is not a bit early to start shouting for a new kicker, after all 2 spots 2 goals, think we have more important problems to address first. Having read PT's comments ref. "a very very close game" am beginning to think he is under some delusions some of the time as this is not the first time his comments have been contrary to the vast majority of opinions.

With PT making comments like that you can tell AH is assistant manager, just the sort of drivel he used to say.

Dc83 - I have to disagree with your assessment on Keds not 'missing' penalties because he scored from the rebounds. He won't always be in the spot where the ball is pushed out to. A good penalty taker plants it into the corner low and hard or uses good deception to send him the wrong way. Very tough for even top flight goalies to get down there in time. If he has been smacking them in the middle of the goal and above waist height he is going to have more and more saved. When it becomes the potential match winner a certainty from the spot will be critical. Just saying - not ready to dump Danny from this task yet but we need 2 or 3 alternates IMO.

Think you missed my point sunny, do not consider his penalties missed because he scored from the rebound ,they were not misses because they were on target and saved. To reiterate, to class them as "missed" is to the detriment of both keeper and pen taker.
