I was talking of fans looking down into the dust and backwards. Not players. The players have spirit left if you talk to half of our fans they are already down and out. Some of these rarely attend games others seem to get joy out of any failings.Everything is wrong they can't see any future.
Free kicks normally do have at least two players over them the simple reason being if you have a left and right footer the goalkeeper doesn't know what to expect.

Hessigod sadly in my antiTaylor eagerness I didn't take the Brighton promotion into play but then again I wonder if he inherited somebody else's squad like he did with Tony Pulis's Gills team!
I find it so sad that the likes of yourself and many others can back the drivel that Peter Taylors team is churning out, admire your loyalty but cannot understand your logic! I will always be a Gills fan but my pocket cannot be opened to watch them at the moment,to think I actually enjoyed the Crewe game !!

Let me give you a clue "statotheblue"...go and find a dictionary and look up the meaning of second to last word in the sentence of yours that is "quoted". You clearly state that Pritchard is "going down" although personally I think he is a DECENT player.
Of course you would expect at least two players to be involved at a free kick within shooting range of goal but if you take the trouble to read the whole paragraph you might understand that the example I refer to was ten yards inside Crawley's half and not within shooting distance. Furthermore 3 players only were between the free kick position and the Crawley goal with the remaining four of our players spread across the halfway line. Crawley players outnumbered our thee attackers by 3 to 1 with a spare player in case of need. We might just as well have said, "no we don't want the free kick you have it!"
Talking about free kicks we don't really need two players over the ball, let alone three because we always do the same thing depending on where the ball is. A good coach comes up with a variety of free kicks to keep the opposition guessing. The only thing that Mr. Taylor appears to be good at inventing is excuses.

Terryjollyboots. ....I agree with you completely. The.football we are serving to the paying customers is poor. People have the right to let their feelings known when we consistently under perform and our.boss expects us to be patient when most of us fans can see there is no progress under Taylor and he knows he is a dead an walking. No interviews on the bbc football site, like he usually does. I would be calling for his head but it's all too clear that he cannot get these players performing. Needs a change asap to freshen things up and new ideas.
There is no way we are going to beat Fleetwood next week under Taylor. Without transfer listed legges goal over the weekend. Taylor would.have been in the brown stuff, just prolonging the inevitable.

Yep gillsjan, losing interest in arguing this one. Some people have such short memories, the drivel pt is churning out?! So quickly have we forgot the rubbish that MA finished our championship season playing and start of the season before sacked. That was dire and 80,s style, at least we are trying to play football and whilst not always coming off its better than I have seen for some time.

I never said the football under Martin Allen was good but under Taylor have we progressed? Likewise I cannot see this argument going anywhere due to some individuals having rose tinted glasses regarding Taylor!

For a manager who apparently likes his sides to play football, apart from the Peterborough game im struggling to see enough of this to justify that Taylor s teams play in this way..
Not enough times in leaving Priestfield under Taylor can i say that i have left happy.. its now becoming the norm..
Going by our last 2 attendance figures, it appears a few people are losing the faith. i believe for the second home game in a row it was below 5.000..
