If they dig the ground up this year I shall be in the queue for some turf!!!!!!, after spending £40000 on a new pitch this year doubt whether we shall be in the running for a new 3G pitch.

Have played a few times on these pitches (rubbish level I hasten to add) and as compared to the early artificial pitches they are exceptional. However, I appreciate I am now aged, but after the last time I played on one my joints ached for ages. I guess the use and profit from them will be the deciding factor in the lower leagues, but if they become commonplace will premiership teams refuse to play lower league teams in the cup if they have them? I am sure playing on them all the time must give you an advantage over those who don't.

They're great for 5 a side, but professional football should be played on grass
