Looks like Bristol City have both their main strikers agard and wilbraham out injured,If that's the case we have must play our A game to beat them. They still have jay Emmanuel thomas who I think is very dangerous indeed with his shooting , so we must not give him space because he can score is renown for thunderbolt goals and then there's freeman, I just hope we can get a result like we did against Colchester. Be heading over there soon, see you all there. I'm going for a 1-0 or 2-0 to us.

As a previous post they have a big and very good squad with other attacking options so jag cuts they may not have wilbraham/agard they will have other good options. Hopeful of a draw and a win would be a fantastic late Xmas pressy. COYG

Emmanuel- Thomas is the best player in the division, in my opinion. It remains a very hard game and I'd be delighted with the crowd getting behind the team and a competitive draw

The proverbial lump of coal in this result today. Will wait for the match report but top of the table is top of the table so did not expect much from this game. Maybe we'll take them in the JPT...

I thought most of the players showed some real spitit particularly in the second half. Not impressed with the referee again.

Agree gillsjan the ref was dreadful but doubt it had much bearing on the outcome. They are, man for man, a much better side than us, but we knew that. Our squad is a work in progress, as theirs was last year.
I enjoyed the game and thought there were definite signs that the team is coming good. The 2nd half performance would have beaten most teams we've seen at Priestfield this season IMO.

Yes, they are certainly a seriously talented team. Id happily take any of smith, freeman, Thomas and their number 4 in our team. Well set up, play good football. If they go up as champions, it will be well deserved. However, felt we matched them for the first 20 and coped better in the second half. Good to see Cody coming back to form and decent performances from Dickenson and Pritchard, as well as the usual suspects. On the negative, linganzi was woeful and Kedwell out of shape and poor. Wonder if both have played their last games at priestfield?

I agree I thought Linganzi had a really bad day and Keds certainly not at his best glad to see the decision at half time to make their substitutions.

Yes, my friend remarked it was probably the last we'd see of both of them as we left the ground.

Just got back home to south wales. Bristol City outplayed us in every department, their movement and crisp passing was much too hot to handle, Freeman was the best player on the pitch by a country mile and today we could see how far progress wise we are behind a side that is well drilled and organised. I can honestly say that I could never envisage get Peter taylor managing a side that good because lacks the necessary quality to manage even a poor side like us. Playing lingazi and kedwell was a joke beyond even the worst manager that taylor gas proved. its going to be a long hard season so brace yourselves. ??

Agree Hess, gillsjan & technical. Linganzi and keds were dire and hopefully the last game we see from both. If we can offload will be a real result as bet they are both on good wages, but not sure we will be that lucky. As said on the ref post yesterday, he was awful last time and bloody worse this time and whilst we wouldn't have won the game he definitely made it even more difficult for us.
