When given the job at Liverpool Ladies team, the Chief Exec was impressed by his "tactical acumen and possession based attacking play", he has now moved in to 11/2 by Skybet .Bearing in mind PS apparently not being pleased with PT negative style of play, could this be his answer. Reading the latest, Newport still have not been approached by the Gills to talk to Edinburgh

I'm not sure how much that would win over the negative fans if he doesn't get results quickly. Might be a fine coach, but he's neither a name, nor anyone with a track record

Whoever gets the job will have a difficult task as immediate results are required and wanted by the usual few. If results are not achieved within 6 games we will be back to the usual abuse flying around, but this time it will be the PS out banners that will be around, more than direct abuse at the new manager.

Playing devils advocate here but what if by releasing all these players, and in no rush to appoint a new manager, has PS written off this season, and saving funds hoping that we can spend in the summer and bounce straight back up again next season.

Matt Beard would keep the Millwall connection up. His brother Mark is an ex-Lion player.

Very easy to put a conspiracy theory together and Scally needs to ensure that the right decisions are taken and quickly. We sack the manager on the eve of the window and then lose 3 high earners. If the new manager comes in too late to buy, you'd have to wonder why that decision was really taken

Last minute panic buying by a new manager worries me loads, just hope the Fab Four have been doing the legwork on possible candidates.

Doubt we will be buying, might pick up a few free transfers, released or loan players which, apart from the free's, will be available after the window closes. More worried that the new manager is getting fewer games to get the points needed to avoid relegation.

Do lose hope we still have time. With 21 games still to play and looking at how tight this league 1 table is there are still plenty of opportunities.

Sorry didn't mean paying for players0, meant panic signings just to fill gaps. Pay for a player, never!!

As a business strategy it might not be a bad one. Being promotion contenders for a couple of seasons, maybe play-offs once or twice in l2 probably makes more money than clinging on by your fingernails in l1. As muppet says, risky as who's to say we'd be up there but would give the appearance of being successful and bring bigger gates than a series of relegation battles on (possibly) a smaller budget
