Let's not forget, one of the four amigos is a mate of West Brom's manager. I think this is just Tony Pulis doing us a favour.

I find it bloody madness that we are letting players go and even worse getting players in when we have no manager Clearly Scally is trying to give the new man a budget clearing back players who are at best on the fringes of the side. Keds was the only one there was a real debate about and frankly he and Cody was not working so which is going to be 1st out the door.At this stage of the season you can only get shot of those willing to leave.Unless you count loan deals. As for those arriving they are all short term loans thus we are not committed large sums of cash I doubt we have spent more that we were on Doughty and Lennon on the new arrivals. That leaves Kedwell,Barrett and Fish money saving untouched one hopes the new manager will get that at least to bring in who he needs.Who knows there maybe a few more exits and arrivals before our new man arrives both on the playing and maybe the coaching side.I wish people would relax a little. It is no easy job find the right man.It is not just about what he has done in the past. Any fees payable obtain the manager. How much money does he want. Player budgets must be looked at. Player targets. Background checks. Assistant managers to assess if they wish to bring one in. Of the 70 Scally I would guess he has done some checks on about half that number already. The other half would have gone in the bin.He has said he plans to talk to 20 of them I believe. Just take one or two from the list that some have spoken about this Liverpool womens coach Beard. What do we know very little it will take time to contact people who know him but are not too close who maybe have not got a interest in if he gets the job or not.Easier said than done in many cases. Shefki Kuqi No point in Scally ringing swans888 for his view with respect as he said he is a mate of his hardly likely to be a non biased view if he truly will get our friend a job. No we need the job done right personally I would prefer to risk a extra bit of time(yes I know every day makes our survival that much harder.) to get the right man.But get it wrong now and it could set us back a very long way indeed.Having such a young side could make this the most important manager appointment since Scally appointed Pulis. I have E mailed Scally my view which is only he has all the info so only he can make a true judgement we just have to hope he gets it right. We can and will have ideas I have mine some names who I would like him to talk too. But I really could not pick based on what little we know.If it takes a while longer so be it.By the time the window shuts we hope we will have our man .But the loan window opens a week later so even that should not force Scally to rush a judgement.I know Scally is not everyone cup of tea but frankly we have no choice but to trust his judgement and give him time to make the most important change for many years.

I see nothing wrong with this we have a problem with Jo Martin and a loan player has come in for a very short period to help. If he were joining GILLINGHAM under a year or so contact I could see an issue with that.

We need defensive cover so we either loan a player or bring a kid in from the reserves. When we are desperate for points and have a 6 pointer, it's really a no brainier. I find extending Hoyte (even though i like him) odder. That decision should be taken by the new man

With you on that stato, we needed to sign him as next week he could have walked and we would have been left with no cover whatsoever (the squad looks very thin as it is already). As to the short term loan, due to the window being open I guess that's the best you are going to get on short notice as all other players need to be releasable immediately and not tied into fixed one month loans. All other longer term and possible bigger names will then be made available when the loan window opens.

The loan signing is probably much better than joe Martin, who is a weak link at the back anyway and I don't rate him even though he scored a few goals.
I hope joe is shown the exit door by the new boss at the end of the season.

I hope we are not starting a witch hunt on Jo Martin now.... It always seems as though someone has to be in the frame

It always seems as though someone has to be in the frame Which hunt no but Joe like other senior players Nelson,Loft,Legge and even Cody(Cody has of late but needs to keep it up) need to up there games. They are now the lads with all the games under their belts we need them all at the races and it is a big ask for the 3-5 senior players we have left in the side.Young players need to be set a example that example has all too often fallen short.A few years ago under Martin Allen for me it was the senior players that saw us over the line.Guys like Barrett,Frampton,Burton and Nelson were the framework that brought us Promotion. It is time some of those above including Martin pulled their weight more regularly . Come on guys now is the time lets be having you.

I hope we are not starting a witch hunt on Jo Martin now.... It always seems as though someone has to be in the frame 888 doesn't have Taylor to bang on about now (though he appears to still be trying) so he needs to find someone else to moan about. Martin will be ok in a few weeks and he will move onto someone else

Lets all leave 888 alone he was constructive in his views every time he writes on here he's jumped on! I admire the fact he comes all the way from 'the valleys to follow the Gills!
